Diagon Ally

     So this is my first book I have ever        written I hope you like it and I am sorry if there are mistakes enjoy

Hey there I am Lily Dursley, Harry's cousin he is a year older than me, and he is a wizard. I am  witch but he does not know I am because he got in trouble when my father had important guests over, so he got locked in his room with bars over his window which I thought was a bit excessive, but luckily his wizard friends from Hogwarts came and broke him out. My dad was furious I am scared for harry when he returns.

You may be thinking that me and Harry are very close since I care so much about him, but Harry and I don't talk that much because my parents don't want him to have a bad influence on me, or whatever that's supposed to mean. This is sad because I do love him and I wish I got to meet my auntie and uncle they seem nice, considering my mother and father has only had bad things to say about them means the were probably not that bad.

Anyways back to me. My father was very surprised when I got my Hogwarts letter with my dad complaining about what he had wrong to deserve this. My mother on the other hand looked unfazed as if she had seen it coming. Dudley however was extremely jealous because I got something he didn't that boy is such a spoilt kid, But for some reason I still love him. The only real downside to this is that my father hates me now not that's new news since he always said I reminded him of my auntie which I don't see as a bad thing. My father was not even going to let me go to Hogwarts, but after a lot of convincing and I mean a lot. My mother has convinced him to let me go. She has been surprisingly supportive with this whole ordeal. My mother always seems to pull though in these situations.

Today my mother is taking me this place called Diagon ally to get my things for Hogwarts. My mother said she remembers how to get to diagon ally because she went with my auntie when she was my age.

When we arrived at Diagon ally we went to Gringotts Wizarding Bank to exchange our currency for wizarding currency. My mother also gave me a little bit extra to buy some extra books I might want she also set up an account for me with money in it, so it would be easier to get money out if I wasn't with her I also have a feeling it was for if anything were to happen with my situation at home I would have money to survive. Plus mother always did love spoil me.

We then went to Flourish and Blotts to buy me my books but when we got there we saw that there was a big queue as there was this famous wizard guy but I wasn't interested so we decided to go get my school robes instead. Once we were finished we went to the pet shop because my mother said I could get a pet, but no owls not after that traumatic experience at home my dad would have a heart attack if he saw another owl. So I decided on this cute black and white kitten I named him Theodore Theo for short.

We then went to ollivanders to get my wand. as we entered the store, it looked as if it had not been cleaned in in over a century with dust all over the counter but I noticed that all the boxes for what I assumed to be the wands were looked after very well. I was pulled out of my thoughts by an old man greeting my mother and I.

"hello there Petunia it has been a while since I last saw you how have you been" the old man said.
"I am doing just fine thank you very much" my mum said in a harsh tone I looked up to her confused as to why she was being so rude but she dismissed my look. This only made me more confused.
"Ah and you must be Lily I have been waiting for your arrival" he said with a curious tone. Uh how does he even know my name I looked to my mother but she was to busy inspecting the shop with her eyes probably criticising the poor old man inside her head.
"Uh pardon me but who are you?" I asked confused.
"I am Garrick Ollivander owner of the shop" he said with a smile
"you must be wanting your wand I presume"
"yep that's why I am here" I mutter obviously that's what I came here for.
"could you please pass me your most dominant hand please" I cautiously raise my hand and he inspects it for a few seconds before heading behind the counter.

After a few minutes of waiting he comes back "try this one" he says as he passes me the wand
"uh what do I do" I ask curiously "just wave it around" I do what he and suddenly lovely music fills the room.
"that's the one hornbeam dragon core 13 inches solid this wand is very loyal to its owner."
"how much is it."
"7 gallons dear." I hand over the money and as I am leaving the shop he says
"use it wisely dear" I nod my head as I rush out of the shop that man was very different.

We now head to go get my books when we get there and the crowd seems to have died down a lot. Which is good I am not a fan of crowds.
"mum can I please get some extra books to read besides the ones on the list."
"yes dear anything for you dear."

I begin to look around the shop and grab a few books one being Hogwarts: A history. I want to read up a bit on the magic world so I do not look like an complete idiot, as I am heading back to the counter to finish paying but as I am leaving I see this man with dirty blonde hair looking in the mirror admiring himself. "oh god I hope I don't see him again he seems like a tool." I mutter under my breath. As the door shuts itself behind me.
