EVIDENCES FROM the crime scene were laid out in front of him. He was Inspector Kenneth, the head of the investigation team for the Murray Murder. Objects in separate airtight bags were a piece of chalk, shards of wine glass, three coins, and a golden chain necklace with a gold dolphin pendant.

At first glance, the crime scene doesnt look like a crime scene. How could something so romantic be a place of murder?

The apartment was lit dimly with golden yellow lights. There was a bouquet of red roses on the table and an untouched dinner set for two. There were rose petals from the door, going around the dining table, leading to the bedroom.

The bedroom was an even more romantic sight: The bed was queen-size, covered with a ruffled red sheet looking like roses sewn together. The pillows were of red and white arranged below the headrest.

There was a chandelier on top of the bed, and the smell of vanilla-scented burning candles set on the bedside tables covered the room.

It looked more of like a romantic hotel suite rather than an apartment room. This would've been a picturesque, but there was one thing: the body of a woman lies coldly with a pool of blood on the corner of a room.

She was wearing a black mini dress going down to her firm legs, slightly lifted and deteriorated. Her skin was covered with bruises, scratches, cuts, and blood but her face was clean; still with makeup and not even a single scratch can be seen.

What a brutal murder. He thought to himself.

The police went around the room - taking photographs and checking every corner to gather physical evidences. There was something about the scene that he can't get a hold of. He sighed to himself as he reviewed the scene on his mind.

The pool of blood, the body, and the dress the woman is wearing.

Then it struck him.

He had seen this woman before.

He knows it.

But he can't remember where.

The police chief went to him as soon as he saw him.

This is a good distraction.

The chief discussed to him where the evidences were found. The chalk was found on the kitchen counter; stained with blood. Shards of wine glass were collected under the dining table with the coins. The necklace was found on the woman's neck, her hand gripping to it as if she was strangled by it.

The chief ordered his men to bring the body to the morgue for autopsy.

The chief also told the inspector to go home and rest while waiting for the results.

So he drove down the city and headed home.
