Thunder

It's a creature. More than just a sound produced by the broken sound barrier. It growls in the night, continuously purring as the sky lights up. It's voice deep and mysterious, holding many secrets. One moment quiet and far off, the next shaking your bed frame as if it's the monster you feared as a child.
In the distance you see a beautiful blue bolt of lighting, you blink, and suddenly the ground quivers and the rain slows as the sound carries through you, sending a chill down your spine. Another bolt, closer, and quicker and stronger comes the chill and shake.
Thunder, a beauty that cannot be seen by even the most sensitive, but felt by the dead and heard by the deaf.
