Soldier side-the link between a human and an inhuman!

Then my captain gave me a gun and asked me to shoot,

thousands of men who's children just started attending school.

I was under intructions I did it..

failing to think that I pulled the tree off its root...

yet another time,it was me who had to drool.

To conquer the land was my captains goal,

for him it was more like a deadly game.

His mindset got him his mission accomplished,

it was we the pawns who's humanity had vanished.

Hundreds dead,tears shred.

We were undoubtedly rewarded but we took their daily bread!

The land is barren,

captain sais its ours.

I gazed upon it,

devoid of hours.

Today as I sit back home,I retire. I retire because my daughter asked me once,"dad what is humanity?

Are we human or inhuman?"

I smiled at her and said,"my love,you're father won so many laurels being a soldier.

Destroyed so many homes but brought peace,those were humans who died too...

now you decide..

Are we human or inhuman!
