prologue

     If you look up at the night sky you might be able to spot some constillations. There's the Big Dipper, Orion, Pegasus, and many others, but if you look hard enough you might spot the Creator and her child. Also known as, Aster and Vulpe.

     Most people see the stars as only giant spheres of burning gas but some know better. They know the truth. The truth about Aster and her suffering, and of Vulpe; her quest to help those on Earth​

     Long ago there were only the celestials, the sky creatures. Aster, the sky fox, whose job was to bring the souls of fallen animals up to Utopia, most humans refer to as heaven. When animals die their souls are trapped in different forms of leaves. Every fall Aster came down and would take their souls up to the sky to live with her and the other celestials in Utopia. The leaves would then turn red and fall to the ground.
     This went on for eons, Until the humans started to notice the new additions to the sky. They were so beautiful, like sparking gems in a veil of black. The humans became envious and wanted to keep the souls on Earth in an effort to keeps the stars themselves​ selves. And thus the humans concocted a plan. Three warriors set out to kill Aster so the leaves would stay on Earth. Their names were canis, Tyto, and Nidea.
     They set out in search of the great sky fox, ready to spill the noble blood. Aster was given a warning by one of her faithful followers. She escaped in time and ran to earth as the three warriors followed in pursuit. She knew the only way to save the souls of the dead was to have an heir to carry on the tradition. And so she found a worthy sutior and conceived a child.
     Vulpe, the child of Aster who will continue the great tradition while her mother runs through the sky fleeing the warriors. Her destiny sealed.
