The Haunted Hotel and Graveyards

Marble Hotel was on top of a hill a round hill. The top of the hill was flat. The hill was steep. Mary, Lucy, Hollie, Callum and Paul had just been climbing for two hours. When they reached the top they saw the old abandoned Hotel. The grounds the Hotel had once owned stretched out for miles. There was a wall around the grounds. “Let’s go around the grounds first then we will search the house” said Callum. “Can’t we just go this place is creepy and possibly dangerous the council would not have put barbed wire at the bottom of the hill for no reason you know” said Lucy. “But it will be fun” said Paul. “I am with Lucy come on Lu lets go” called Mary. “What about me can’t I come?" asked Hollie. “Come on then everyone is welcome to leave this place” called Lucy. “Mary, Hol, Lu don’t go it will be fun” called Paul. “No were leaving and were leaving now” said Mary firmly.

The three of them walked towards the cliff edge. As they got to the edge Mary fell off the cliff. Hollie quickly kneeled down and caught hold of Mary’s hand. But slowly she started to slip off the edge. Lucy grabbed hold of Hollie. The two boys hurried over to help. But by now both Mary and Hollie were off the edge of the cliff and Lucy was about to fall. She closed her eyes expecting to go anytime now. Then she felt someone hold her feet. Lucy opened her eyes it was Max. “Max where did you come from?" asked Lucy “Well I came here on my own then I heard you friends scream so I came to help” called Max. Max hulled all three girls up. “How long have you been here Max?" asked Hollie. “Me I have been here about three days now I came here to get my grandfather’s diary he left here I guess I didn’t want to go in alone will you come with me” he answered. It was the schools half term holiday. “Wont your parents miss you?" asked Lucy completely ignoring his question. “No they won’t there in France” he replied. “Come on lets go look round the grounds it will be fun” called Callum. “Yeh sure lets go” said Lucy. “Are you feeling ok Lu” asked Hollie. “Yes I feel fine” she replied. Max took hold of Lucy’s hand. She felt safe now that Max was with her. She felt ready for everything the Haunted Hotel and Graveyards had to throw at her. Paul came and took hold of Mary’s hand. Now also Mary felt safe with the strong lads there to protect her. “Yeh come on Hol it will be fun” called Hollie. “Come on girl” said Callum. Holding out his hand for her. She took hold of Callum’s hand and said “Let’s do this!"

Together they went two by two through the archway into the grounds of what was left of it. Lucy imagined little children running and screaming happily. A soft gentle breeze in the air. But it was far from all that she decided. They went to where a wall stood tall above them. There was a gate in the wall. Callum and Hollie went to the little gate first. He put his hand on the metal bar and pulled on it. It didn’t budge. Now for some time there had been a great deal of silence but it was then broken by Max. “Here let me try” called Max. Max stepped forward and pulled on the bars and the gate swung open. “Come on then what are you waiting for” said Max. They all went through. I can hardly describe what they saw or how they were feeling. There were Gravestones everywhere. There were lots of different shapes and sizes. Then suddenly the Gravestones started to move.  Then they toppled over and out came Ghosts. Spirits of the people how had died so long ago. The girls screamed and clung tightly to the boys. The boys hugged the girls to make them feel safe. “You must leave this place now or be here forever more” said the Ghost nearest to them then just as suddenly as they had appeared they disappeared.

“Come on let’s leave here and search the house” said Callum. “Hadn’t we better go” said Lucy. “Oh you think that some stupid Ghost is going to scare me away” sighed Callum. “Ok girls we will go and show were not chicken so come on” said Lucy. They left the Graveyards and went to the little door was. They looked up and saw a bigger door. They decided to use the little door. Max pushed the door open. They went into a large hallway. There was a table with draws set into it. The walls were dark red and there were paintings on the walls of people.
