No longer barred,
locked up no more.
I will be heard,
Heard above the noise!
No longer will I keep my poise.
My youth shall not limit me,
my opinion not lost.
Protect I will at any cost
my right to be heard!
I know my duty.
I have made my choice.
Who are you to silence my voice?
I have listened to you on many occasions
but
when will it be my turn?
Will I ever be able to express
or address the feelings that bombard me?!
When will I be allowed to let it out?
No longer frustrated and confused
the indisputable neglect of my emotions,
it’s clear you don’t care.
I will be heard, my time will come.
I will be free
because you’ll listen.
I will be chained no more by your silence.
Though the wait may be long the price of freedom too sweet,
too sweet to be cheated out of,
so I’ll wait and cultivate
WORDS!
