Mario Kart

The second they came on stage, it was like someone had set a fire in my soul. I felt so alive.
They started the set with heavydirtysoul, holding onto you and then we don't believe what's on tv, when Tyler asked for a volunteer to play some Mario kart with him, of course everyone put their hand up, including me, but everyone expected that it would be someone pre chosen, that was when I saw Josh leave his drums and walk over to Tyler. He whispered something into his ear and they were both looking at me. I'm not exaggerating, they were staring directly at me when they were talking! Tyler kept on nodding at whatever Josh was saying, and then Tyler jumped down from the stage and asked the security guard to open the piece of barricade in front of me.
Tyler then grabbed my hand and as he was pulling me onstage he whispered in my ear "you're the chosen one!"
I laughed and just kept being dragged along by Tyler. When we got on stage, Tyler made me sit down straight away.
"So have you played much Mario kart before?" He asked me.
"Not heaps, but enough to kick your but!" I replied, smirking at him.
"Damn, you've got some game! Ooh, Tyler's got his game face on, you better watch out!" Josh said, his voice saying it in a teasing way.
I laughed and turned back to Tyler, who certainly did have a game face on, one of ultimate concentration and revenge.
We turned back to the screen and picked our characters, Tyler picking Luigi and me picking Bowser.
"What road shall we race on?" Tyler said with a slight angriness in his voice.
"Rainbow road." I replied.
Tyler grabbed josh and whispered something in his ear, the only words that I could make out were, challenge and keeper.....
2 seconds later, josh was yelling into the microphone, "3, 2, 1 GOOOOOOOOO!"
Tyler and I were instantly battling each other.
Within the first 5 seconds, he had already been attacked by a heap of other players, with me quickly gaining the lead.
In the 2nd lap, Tyler kept on getting attacked by the computer players whereas I stayed out of everyone's way.
"I swear to god, if I lose I'm leaving the band." Tyler muttered between gritted teeth.
"You wouldn't dare." I whispered back, but still kinda slowed down so that he could get in front because who knows with Tyler, sometimes what he says he does and others he doesn't.... I wouldn't want this time to be real.
In the 3rd lap, it was a neck and neck race between the 2 of us, but Tyler ended up winning by .02 of a second.
"YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! I WIN!" He screamed and started his victory dance.
I pretended to pout at him winning and he gave me a hug.
"Good game!" He said.
Josh came up and gave me a hug too, slipping something into my back pocket.
"Come see me after the show." He whispered.
"I'm going to a meet and greet, so I'll be seeing you anyway!" I replied, at this point I'm guessing I had a goofy grin on my face.
"They never go for long enough." He replied, smiling, almost nervously?
WAIT A MINUTE........ JOSH DUN IS FLIRTING WITH ME!
"I'll see you soon." I said with a wink, and then a security guard grabbed my arm and pulled me off stage, opening the barricade back up and pushing me back in.
I quickly found Casey and she just gaped at me.
"I ship it." She whispered to me, I rolled my eyes at her but couldn't help but to smile.
Who knows, I could be reliving that moment someday.
