Thank You

A girl with dark long hair and pale skin named Iona moved from a normal human school to a school of monsters and mystical creatures. This is because she was adopted by a family called the Evergreen.

Iona always thought that Mrs. Evergreen looked so beautiful and perfect in everyway that she couldn't take her eyes off of her.The way her pale skin brought out her red hair and her thick red lips. Her eyes were light green that looked like they could glow.

The Evergreens were really nice and kind and seemed so perfect but there was a thing Iona found weird: how they took care of their garden. Iona knew that they were different but they were her new family.

Ever since she moved into her new school she was bullied for being normal and for not knowing what kind of creatures they were. She would be beaten up in the school playground in front of every student. They would do this every lunch time. No one would help her. She had no one to turn to.

It was lunch time again at school and Iona knows what this means. She tried to hide in the cubicles but she was found. She attempted to run but one of the people looking for her caught her. She was dragged in front of the playground and she strugled to get her arm free from the boys hands before they could reach the playground.

A monster called Cristian was watching. He had dark brown hair, tan skin and gray eyes. Even though he hated humans he knew Iona didn't deserve to be treated like this. He had enough of watching and decided to walk away. He could hear Iona's screams behind him begging them to stop. Cristian kept on walking until he heard the loudest scream Iona ever made. He turned and saw Iona pulling trying to get her arm free. The person holding her arm was holding on to her really tight, so tight that made her scream. Cristian couldn't take it any more.

He ran and tackled the monster holding Iona's arm. The monsters stopped and took a few steps back. They saw that Cristian's skin was turning to stone. Stone claws started growing out of his fingers and stone fangs out of his mouth. The monsters took a few more steps back after seeing that Cristian's transformation was completed.

One by one they left Cristian and Iona alone. Cristian made sure they were all gone before turning back to human form. He knew that Iona couldn't walk home on her own, knowing that the monsters that attacked Iona will be back for another attempt so he asked Iona if could walk her home. She rejected him and tried to stand up. Cristian didn't take no for an answer. He faced the opposite direction of Iona and gently pulled her arms around his neck then carefully lifted her legs. Iona closed her eyes and buried her face in Christian's shoulder feeling his warmth. Knowing that she was now safe with Christian she whisper into his ear,"Thank you".
