WAR OF THE ELEMENTS

The beginning of time

Six cubs who were born at the beginning of time to master the elements they were gifted and to protect the world while it grows.

The Beginning of Time

When Earth was formed, the six element wolves were born. Fire, Earth, Water, Ice, Lightning and air. At first they spent their days chasing each other around in the big opened space before other life was formed and lying around in the long bright green grass in the sunlight without a care in the world. 

At first none of them were aware of their ability to control an element for good or bad. 

As time went by just playing around as happy as they could ever be. Fire decided to go and rest for a while after all the running, as he walked off the others paused and just stared in his direction. Once Fire was out of sight from the rest and he found a shaded area under a tree to help keep the sunlight out his eyes while he slowly fell asleep. There was a sudden SNAP! fires eyes shot open and he sprung to his front feet and scanned the area, "nothing" he mumbled to him self and lay back down. Just as his blood red eyes closed there was another SNAP!, but this time he did spring up he just raised his head and looked again but this time he saw a figure of a wolf cub which look very much like air. 

At first it wasn't clear which one it was but as his eye sight went from fuzzy to normal again he stared at the wolf and realized it was Air, who was walking nervously over. Once fire sat up he asked her what she was doing following him and disturbing his nap, who'm she just replied in a shy voice "we were just wanting to know why you left like that without telling anyone where and why you were going". There was a moment of silence between them then Fire spoke and said sharply "you can go back and tell them I was tiered after all the running and needed some peace and quiet".

After that Air wondered off back to the other cubs to tell them why but before she left she told Fire in a shy but firm voice "you didn't have to speak to me like that" then she ran back. Once she was out of sight he mumbled under his breath "hmm I didn't sound nasty at all". then fell asleep.

While she was running back to the others and they all got sight of one another they noticed Air ran as if she was one with the summer breeze and light on her feet, which she was. Once she stopped in front of everyone and said why he just wandered off, Water said smoothly "Fire did seem a little grumpy even when he was around but happy at the same time, I wander what's on his mind". After a moments pause, the five cubs just went back to what they were doing before running around.

Later they noticed Fire wandering back over still a bit sleepy and dragging his paws a little with each step. 

"FIRE!" yelled Lightning fully of energy "come over here" while Fire turned round he just grunted and with his eyes narrowed down looking in the others direction unimpressed with Lightning wanting him to come over to them. 

Once he finally got over to them all there was a sudden silence between them all, then Ice spoke in a cold voice " where did you wander off to, you know we have to stick together at all times until we are more aware of the area and know it's safe to wander around on our own ..... is there something you've found out and hiding from us thinking we'll get annoyed or something stupid like that, cause no matter what we stick together". 

"No there is nothing I'm hiding from you guys" Fire mumbled. Then speaking up a little but louder and also a little bit more annoyed with Ice "and if there was what's it to do with you lot anyway   it's my life not yours" after Fire said that the others were in shock and Ice looked like he was about to snap back but something was holding her back, but she looked ready to fight him for saying that (as she liked to think she was the boss of everyone but she wasn't there is no leader at the time).

Fire just turned around and walked off not caring on what was going to happen next for what just happened. Earth was going to go after him but the glance Ice gave him told him not to take another step further.

As night started to fall there was still no sign of Fire and every one was staring to settle down for the night. When the moon was high in the jet black sky Earth, Lightning, Water and Air all crept out of their dens trying their hardest not to make a sound so Ice wouldn't wake up and try stop them finding Fire.

After about a mile away from their dens and out of hearing range of Ice they started running in the direction that Fire went in hoping to find something that will help them find him but nothing was to be seen, so all they could do was run straight on. 

After a while they say a slight glance of his burning red coat in the moon light. So they walked slowly towards him with slight nerves in case he try's to attack them. But before they got to close he raised his head and stared at them as if he was trying to see if Ice was there and as soon as he realized she wasn't around he seemed more relaxed as well as puzzled why they were there so before he could ask Earth asked in a calm voice " what was all that back by the dens between you and Ice". Nothing was said then Fire decided to answer his question "I've never really cared for her, she acts like she knows everything and as if she's the boss but she's not she's far from it.... She is getting a bit to full of herself for her own good." "hmm" Earth hummed through his breath.

1 hour later

An hour later, they were all still standing in the exact spot in silence. 

Then Fire started walking away from them all and Air asked if Fire was going to come back soon but nothing was said. As he walked away they just watched for a few minutes longer and not saying a single word, then they turned around and walked away back to the dens apart from Air who stood a little bit longer until all was silent then she turned away ready to start heading back until she heard fires voice faintly in the distance.  So she turned round to see what was the matter and walked towards him, as she got closer and was about ten feet away he turned and walked away. As she followed on behind Air started to slow down before she went into a stand and glanced behind her to see how far the others were but no were to be seen. Suddenly there was the hoot of an owl which startled her and panic started to kick in on what to do with know one to be seen.

After another couple of minutes there were snaps of branches and the Riesling of fallen leaves which really started to frighten the living day light out of her so all she did was run as fast as she could the way that she walked hoping to find her friends or to get home safely but at that time she didn't really care. When she was out of the woods she looked back remembering about Fire but she didn't want to go back and look for him as she wasn't sure what was wondering around, so she ran back to the dens as fast as she could to alert the others.
