New partners always excited me. My favourite partner would have to be Jannah. She was my first girl film partner and she was so nice about it. She made me feel comfortable and completely at ease. It helped that she was also my best friend.

"Ok, Killer and Cherry," we were always called out by our screen names. "Sanders and Naomi," some were inventive, others weren't. "Snake and Daisy." She went on and on until there were four of us left. "Dean and Vixen, and last but not least... Gracie Lee and Kevin Day." I had to clench my jaw to stop it from swinging open. I had Kevin.

Oh, no no no no. This could not happen. I bet my mom had something to do with this. Kevin's been here for two weeks now, I don't need to take him 'under my wing' anymore.

Everyone in the room found their partners and began running through ideas.

You see, we pick the setting, costumes, theme, script (if any), and storyline of our films. It's pretty cool that we have that creativeness, but sometimes things get a bit wild.

"Hey," Kevin sat next to me. I nodded, smiling weakly. I didn't want Kevin to be my partner because I liked him, and if anything were to happen between us, I didn't want it to start like this. "So, some of the guys tell me you won't have sex. Is that true, or..." He trailed off as I nodded. "Well, this'll be interesting."

Yes it will.

"I know this really awesome house we can have it at," Kevin began when we were sat in my bedroom, talking through ideas. He rambled on and on excitedly. "What do you think?"

"It sounds cool, but I've always loved the cliché College dorm room movies." I admitted.

"Simple." He nodded. "I like it." He wrote it down. "And we can do it here. Saves the cost of hiring a place." He began spitballing different ways we could go about it.

I wasn't listening.

I was too distracted by his lips. They were full, but not huge. Kissable, definitley. He talked slowly as if he was teasing me on purpose. I only snapped out of it when they stopped moving and smirked.

"Are you even listening to me?" He laughed lightly. I nodded innocently, hoping he's believe me. "What did I say, then?"

"Um, uh... That you wanted to... I..." This was embarassing.

"I said," he leaned forward so his minty breath fanned my cheeks. "We should go out sometime." My breath hitched in my throat. Was he serious? Oh God... I felt like a fourteen year old being asked out by her latest crush.

"That sounds cool," I mentally slapped myself. "When?" I moved back discreetly because our close proximity was making me nervous.

"Saturday?" I nodded, not that I had anything that was better than spending time with Kevin. "Great." He stood up. "I'll see you later." He smiled before leaving my room. As soon as he was gone I let out a little girly squeal.

I was going on a date with Kevin.

Saturday was in two days, so that gave me fourty eight hours to prepare.

I began sorting through clothes I could wear, makeup and how I could have my hair when a thought hit me.

What if the date goes wrong and it effects our film?

What if I say something wrong?

I slumped onto my bed, defeated.

It can't go wrong. I'll make sure it won't, but I need some male advice.

Me: Come over, I need your help

Derek: I'll be five minutes

And he was. Five minutes later, Derek was in my room, sat next to me on the bed.

"What can I help you with?" He smiled leaning against the headboard.

"I have a date with Kevin and I'm completely freaking out." I admitted, running my hands through my hair. Derek laughed, but I hit his leg to make him stop. He saw my face and understood I was being serious.

"Why are you freaking out?" He snorted. "You're Gracie Lee for God sake!" He slung his arm over my shoulder. "If anyone should be worried, it should be Kevin. Y'know, half the guys in this school are after you. They might kill him because you agreed to go on a date with him." I ignored that comment and voiced my worries.

"But what if he's trying to make a move and I don't realise?" I panicked. Derek scoffed and rolled his eyes.

"You will know. You're like the Queen of knowing if a guy is trying to hit on you." He hugged me gently. His words put me at ease. I knew I was just overreacting and overthinking things. "Kevin's different from most of the guys here, though. I imagine him to do things that are more Old School."

"Huh?" I raised an eyebrow at him.

"Like this." He began drawing circles on my bare upper arm with his index finger, slowly dragging it upwards until his hand was on my shoulder.

His fingers brushed my neck as he moved his hand to my jaw, tracing the structure of it. Our eyes locked, our lips almost touching. He closed his eyes slowly, as did I, just before our lips met.

I've kissed Derek a lot of times, but this time was different.

It was soft and romantic almost. He took his time in letting his hands wander my upper body, making his way up my t-shirt until he reached my bra, resting his hands just above my ribs.

He didn't force his tongue into my mouth, it happened gradually. It was like we were Sophomores in High School, being dared to kiss at a party. It seemed as if he was hesitant to take things too far, like he thought through every one of his moves carefully.

All too soon, he broke away, leaving me breathless.

I opened my eyes to see him staring at me, his expression slightly sad and regretful.

"You'll be fine." He said quietly before leaving.

I am so sorry for the long wait!

I have another account on Wattpad, and I've been so tied up trying to update the stories on that account.

I'll definitley try and update more often because I love this story.

There's also a lot of dialogue in this chapter, and not much 'smut', but I wanted to develop my characters feelings a little bit more rather than everything just be physical.

leave me a comment? I appreciate all the ones that have been left so far!

thankyou for your staying with this story!
