Chapter 9 - jealousy

1 month later

I woke up to the sound of my alarm, letting out a groan as I opened my eyes. The first thing I did was check my messages, because I missed a lot.

Group chat:

Weston: what are your plans for today children?

Liv: literally nothing aha 😂

Blake: guys you can all come over to mine and Ariel's, we're bored

Kendall: We've got to take Jay to nursery today so we won't be there, sorry guys❣

Cameron: we can all hang tomorrow though x

Ariel: good luck to Jay!!

Ethan: I'll come today Weston

I joined the conversation, agreeing to go.

Me: I'll be there bitches

Brandon: that'll be awkward aha

Hunter: yh it will

I had no clue what they were talking about, so I immediately asked.

Me: what'll be awkward?

Ethan: well

Me: Ethan tell me

Ethan: Grayson's coming with his new girlfriend

What the actual fuck?
Okay, so I better update you on Grayson and I. Ever since that night we haven't spoken properly, sure we've hung out but that's only been when we're with everyone else. Of course I miss him, I love him! But I can't. Because guess what? I have a new boyfriend.

Tayler and I have been dating for a couple weeks now... and I'm going to be honest with you here... all I think about is Grayson.
I would be lying if I told you I wasn't using him to get over Gray, I really would. I feel terrible for it though, because I don't love him, and I know I never will. Tayler is more of a friend to me, even though he's my boyfriend!

When Ethan said that Grayson had a girlfriend, I instantly felt a pang of jealousy hit me. I know I have to let him be, but I love him.
You're probably screaming at me right now, and I don't blame you. I let Grayson slip away, even though what he accused me of was wrong. I could've explained it all to him, and fixed it, but now it's too late. He's found someone else. Who knows if he even loves me anymore? Probably not, Grayson isn't the type to play those games, at least I thought not.

Ethan's POV:

" Grayson! " I called, stepping up each step slowly.
" what? " I heard him call back.
Wow. That's one of the only things he's said to me the past few days, other than the fact that he'd be going to Weston's today too.

I opened his bedroom door, and Grayson was laying on his bed staring at the ceiling blankly.
" what's up? " I asked, sitting down next to him.
" I miss Anna " he confessed, as I quickly looked in his direction.
" you're with Sophie, that bitch " I muttered the last part.
He sighed, sitting up so that he was now looking right at me.
" you do realise why I'm dating her, right? " He raised a brow, and I shook my head.
Grayson rolled his eyes before telling me.
" I'm only using her to get over Anna or make her jealous Ethan... do you really think I like Sophie? " He said it as if I was stupid.
" well, I mean you did sleep with Sophie while you and Anna were dating a while back... so I guess so " I said.

I was pretty annoyed. He's using Sophie. I know that Sophie is a bitch, and she's definitely not the right one for my brother, but he's hurting Anna by doing this.
I was interrupted from my thoughts when I got a message from Anna, speak of the devil.

Anna: Ethan I need help

Me: what is it?

Anna: You know Tayler? Well he's my boyfriend

Me: really?

Shit, she moved on quick.
Grayson is going to flip.

Anna: yeah but I'm kind of just using him, I know it sounds bad but I'm in love with Grayson, and I thought I'd be able to get over him a little if I was with Tayler...

Wow, they're both doing the exact same thing for each other. I'm kind of relieved, actually. Anna and Grayson were perfect for each other, and I've never seen my brother so happy. Now he's just faking his smiles, his laughs... everything. And I'm sure Anna has been too.

Me: what a coincidence

Anna: what do you mean?

Me: Grayson's doing the same for you
