The gunshots from the last chapter rang out, getting closer and closer. Matt was slowly becoming more scared by the minute. Tord carefully took out his own gun and stepped in front of him. "I'll try to protect you..." He mumbled.
A shadow emerged from the dark, it was...
"OH WE'RE GONNA DIE, TORD!"
It was a kid with a handful of balloons.. He seemed to be popping them against the edges of buildings when he turned.
Tord turned to Matt and grabbed his hand, pulling him close to slam his lips against him. "You're an idiot... But I love you."
Matt kissed back and brought Tord closer. "You're an ass, but I love you too.."
They stood there, staring into each other's eyes.
For once, they felt safe with each other... The vampire and the hunter.
Later when the sun rose, Matt pulled out his small umbrella from his pocket and held Tord's hand lovingly. "..Tord.. I know we just met.. But.. Do you want to do this again sometime?.." He asked shyly
"...of course..." Tord smiled and pecked Matt's cheek.
With that, they walk back to Edd's house for coffee and blood.
