"Hey! Are you okay?" It was just some boy. I was confused when I saw him, I had forgotten what was going on besides my freak out. I wiped my eyes because my vision was blurry after crying so much. He had his hand sticking out and I grabbed it and stood up. Then, I could see what he looked like. He had light brown hair, that seemed to have a little bit of a blond touch to it, his eyes were a nice, lightly deep blue, ones you could stare at all day and not even realize it. Like I was. Right then.
"Um, hello? You're not falling for me, are you?" I snapped back to reality and I shook my head to focus.
"Uh, no... Sorry, do I know you?" I asked with a puzzled look. I was so confused about what was going on. He chuckled a bit.
"My name's Andy Bowman. I'm actually new here. I was wondering, since you're the only person I've talked to all day, if you could show me around. You won't have to deal with your classes or the dumb jocks." I smiled a bit. If I showed him around, Page won't see that I'd cried and I would've been able to have more time to think about what I would tell her.
"Sure. Then, later, we could go out somewhere as a welcome 'party', if you want." He smirked.
"Yeah, I'd like to get to know you better. Now, if you don't mind, could you tell me where my first block is?" He handed me his schedule. Apparently we had every class together.
"Alright, we have every class together, because life. Um, yeah, I could show you around."
'Yes!" He said a little too enthusiastically. I laughed a bit and he started to blush.
"Let's go!" I placed my arm around his shoulders and started to walk towards our first block. When we arrived, the teacher introduced Andy. All the girls were fawning over him, making me sad and jealous. He saw and patted me on the head, that didn't help his case at all... He was, maybe, around 5'7. I looked up at him and growled a bit. He raised his hands in the air, as a sign of surrender. I laughed and the teacher cleared his throat.
"Miss Kathryn-"
"I told you, it's Kat!!"
"Kat... Would you go sit down, please? Just be quiet for about 15 minutes and I'll excuse you for being tardy." He sighed. I went and quietly, since he asked, sat down.
"Now, Mr. Bowman, choose a seat and then we can start class." He walked over to me and sat down in the chair no one ever dared to sit, since I'm so strange.
"Looks like we'll be talking a lot more." We shook hands like it was the first time we ever talked and met.
"So, your name is Kat, huh?" I slapped my forehead, I forgot to tell him my name earlier.
"Yeah, Kathryn "Kat" Anne Green at your service. I saluted him. We stopped talking, turned to the teacher. He said five words and we started to crack up. At least the teacher didn't get onto us.
Next block, Mrs. Mullens, being enthusiastic, as always, squealed when she saw us.
"Oh my gosh!! There he is! Oh, and he's a handsome boy, ain't he?" We all were just staring at our teacher like she was insane, which she seemed all the time, anyway.
"Class, this is Andy Bowman! Andy, it looks like there's only one seat left..." Great... "You can sit with your girlfriend, Kat." She did a sexual purr. We both blushed and I giggled a bit, which made the whole class laugh. I sighed and sat down, him following. I then heard a whisper to my left. I turned and it was Adam. God save the queer...
"What??"
"Who's the new hottie? Why don't I know about him but you do?" I sighed.
"I met him outside. He wanted me to show him around, that's it, calm your gay ass." He laughed and I was trying not to, myself. Andy just looked at us both, confused yet very entertained. After class, we headed towards 3rd block. I saw the door and started to shake. I was about to grab the handle and Andy grabbed my wrist. He dragged me to a janitor's closet. I didn't know what was going on. I tried to say something but he shushed me. The bell rang and I tried to talk again. He covered my mouth. I was so scared. He let go after a minute or two and turned his head towards me.
"Sorry, you were shaking and I didn't like it so I thought we could talk in here until 3rd block is over." I smiled a bit. He knew exactly that I was not okay with that door opening.
"So, why did you start shaking? I assume something must've happened." Great... Well, let's sum it up a bit for him...
"Well, I am dating someone and people were picking on me for it and I've had a few changes happen so... I'm just all fine and dandy." He just gave me this look.
"What's the whole story?" I sighed. "I won't judge, I promise."
"I am dating this girl named Page and I'm her first girlfriend. I got bullied for it since she's pretty and I'm not. Well, recently, I found out that I'm actually a guy. So, I now have a higher chance of breakup and bullying." I started to cry a bit. He grabbed my shoulders and had a pretty good grip.
"Hey, look at me." He said, in a soft, sweet tone. I looked up and his eyes shined and he had a sweet smile. I stopped crying, I stopped sniffling, I was frozen. That look was captivating. It was the look of a man who actually cared and could protect you from anything. I had never seen that look before. Not even Adam had that look.
"It's gonna be okay. You don't have to worry anymore. I'll be right here for you, no matter what. If, what's his name.. Scott. If Scott comes and bullies you and I'm not there, tell me everything that happened. I'll take care of him for you, I've been in boxing classes since I was 6." I smiled and wiped my tears. A little while later, the bell rang, signaling the end of class.
"Why don't we skip the rest of the day? They won't suspect that we skipped if we miss those, too." I quietly chuckled a bit. We waited until everyone was in class and the coast was clear and then we ran out of the school.
"So, where are we doing the welcoming party?" Shit! I forgot about that!
"Um... Well, what are you in the mood for, eating wise?"
"Some pizza sounds good to me."
We headed towards Pizza Time! and ate. We headed to his house afterwards.
"Alright, I'll see you tomorrow. Should I meet you here or at school?"
"School will be fine, I don't want you to be stuck with me all the time." I chuckled and said goodbye. I started to turn when he grabbed me from behind.
"Alright, sorry, I just wanted to hug you. You deserve it for being so nice to me and taking me to almost all of our classes." I waved and headed home. That was weird... Ah, well, life's weird.
