New School

-6 months ago-

"Dad I have to go a new school why can't I just be home schooled" I whined as I walked downstairs getting my book bag. (my outfit up top)

"No, you can't because someone has to pay the bills around her and anyway have you even unpacked your stuff yet Mackenzie"

Ugh new school, new people why can't just have a normal family not moving every year I thought as I sat down with bowl of cereal. 

"Sup weirdo" Cameron said sitting next to me. Cameron is my brother he is a senior and a pain in my butt but all brothers are so what is new. 

"I hate you" I said throwing a Cheerio across the table hitting him in forehead.

"Hey! Hate isn't a nice word to say to your brother Mackenzie and don't throw things across the table." My dad said walking over to sit down at the table. He sat down with a sigh like he normally does, I guess the military is kinda getting to him now. 

"so Mackenzie you ready for sophomore year in the middle of the school year." He said teasing me. I really hated going to a new school in the middle of the year everybody notices your new and you feel outta place because everybody already has their groups or whatever. 

" No I am not I mean come on dad did you have to move to California I mean it is basically like any other teenage movie. They move to a new school in the middle of the year and then-" I get cut of by my phone blowing up" I look down at my phone to see 4 texts from my best friend back in Washington.

Hope you have fun at your new school

Nobody better replace me Kenzie- Bestfrann 

"Kenzie come on before we are late" Cameron said grabbing he bag. 

"love you dad"

" Aye Mackenzie do you have your basketball stuff because you have tryouts today! Best Freshmen in Washington and you are going to be best Sophomore in California" he yelled as I started walking out of the door.

"Yea"

I get into the car and we drive off while playing Migos Slippery in the car.

We pulled up into the park lotting and said our goodbyes and good lucks because we might just need it.

I walk through the front gate and start trying to find the front office, not paying attention to my surroundings only trying to get to the office and not noticed to be new.

Where is the damn office I say looking everywhere but not in front of me.

Oh I say as I accidentally run into someone.

"I am sorry I wasn't paying attention" I say not looking at the stranger while placing a strain of hair behind my ear.

"It is ok, it was kinda my fault too." I hear a firm but kind voice but I can tell it was a guy's voice

I pick up my head to see the stranger that is in front of me.
