The Camaro would have been great if I grew up in Australia and actually learned how to drive on the left side of road. Did Chloe not realize that I didn't know how to drive on the left? This was going to bad. I couldn't drive this car. No matter how cool it is. I didn't want to risk hurting anyone. I pulled over, and stopped in front of the Gunshop Cafe.I tried to call my father but he didn't answer. That was my father for ya.
"UGH this sucks. Could this day get any worse!?" I screamed. The temperature had gone up to 84 degrees from this morning to the afternoon. These temperatures were not what I was used to in NYC.
I was hot, angry, had to pee and my stomach was rumbling because I was so hungry. I ran into the cafe just to get a snack.
I sat in a booth waiting to be served. I was sweating and tried and had tear stains from crying and the humidity! When I looked up I saw my waiter.
Gosh he was gorgeous. His eyes were the first thing I noticed. They were dark brown. He had the most perfect teeth and smile. His skin was just the right amount of tan. He was so tall. His accent was amazing too.
"Hello, how can I help you?" he asked.
"Oh right... ummm.." I wasn't focusing he was too gorgeous I didn't know what to say. "Ummm.. just a glass of iced tea please." I said not even noticing they didn't have it on the menu.
"Umm, we don't have iced tea here." He said laughing with a grin on his face.
Blushing and laughing I said "Oh haha, its been a long day. Umm, just a water then please and a salad ..thanks."
"Sure thing." He grabbed my menu and walked away.
His boss was a short man.. Who seemed to be a little crabby..
"Brenton thanks for your help! You can go home!" his boss yelled loudly.
I was checking my phone when all of sudden I saw a shadow in front of me. It was the gorgeous waiter boy.
"Can I sit real quick?" he asked
"Oh, yeah sure." I said friendly considering it was a hot boy and I was in no hurry to go home!
"Are you okay? You seemed a little stressed."
"Yeah, a little" I told him all about my mother, my father, and my stepmother. How my summer vacation was ruined! And.. he listened..the whole time!
A waitress brought over my water and salad.
"Do you want my salad?" I asked. I figured we were somewhat of friends.
He laughed "You don't want it?"
"No! I 'm not a big fan of salad. I don't have any idea why I even ordered it. Chips are way better" I said.
"Agreed! Then we can share it!" he said.We talked some more about our lives. He asked me about New York City, and said he had been there before. I told him it was my first time in Australia. He was so friendly.
