Pain

Is it bad that the first thought I had when I got hit by that car was

"I never got to finish The Fault In Our Stars?"

Of course I then thought of Niall. Then I thought I was gonna die.

I was freaking scared as hell.

All I remember is the pain, then nothing. Now I try to open my eyes, but they won't pop open like normal. It's scaring me. I can hear sobs next to me. I guess I'm in the hospital? Yeah I'm in the hospital. I wanna just tell the person next to me that I am alive, but I won't move.

I just can't.

You have no idea how hard I have tried.

"Mads, I know you can hear me Princess."

Niall. I her the cries and I don't like it.

"How is she doing?"

"She won't wake up!" Niall says and holds my hand. I try to pry open my eyes.

All I see is light.

"Ah." I say and close my eyes quickly. I don't like the light.

"Madelyn? Princess talk to me!" Niall pats my hand. I open my eyes an let y eyes adjust to the crazy bright and annoying lights.

"I'm awake." I say and Niall smiles and kisses my cheek lightly.

"Madelyn!" Liam says and walks over. A nurse walks in. I hate them. Too nice and happy. Ew.

"Hello dear! You're awake! That's great! A doctor is gonna come in to check on your injuries. You should be able to leave soon!" The nurse says and leaves quickly.

"How long have I been out?" I ask.

"Uh about a week." Liam says. I look at Niall.

"I missed our basketball date." I say sadly and she smiles.

"I don't care." he says and squeezes my hand. Suddenly, the door squeaks open. I see El, Evie, Harry, Dani, Perrie, Zayn, Mia, and Louis walk in.

"MADS!" Louis yells and runs over and hugs me, well lays on me.

"Hey Louis!" I say as he gets off me.

"I hate how old you're getting." he says an I laugh, then feel pain.

"Oh my god Madelyn I thought you were gone. I haven't stopped crying." Evie says and I smile.

Nialls POV

*the day of the accident*

I run after Madelyn. Right when I reach the street I see a car hit her.

"MADELYN!" I yell and run over as the person steps out of their car.

"Oh my god." They mutter as I Neal beside Madelyn. She's bloody and not awake.

"I'm so sorry." the girl who was driving says.

"Shut up." I say and she looks hurt.

"I'm sorry it's just- I can't loose her." I apologize and she nods.

"I know." she says and I whip out my phone.
