The Alpha's Mate

Chapter 7

I didn't speak to Landon much the next day. Landon had Alpha duties to take care of at the pack house and I focused on the house. It needed a lot of work.

I decided to take care of the kitchen first. The counter tops are black granite so I didn't need to change anything there. I got a mohangoy brown for the cabinets and a light red for the walls. I got to work on painting the cabinets first. They would need at lest two coats of paint. Once I got the first coat on I moved to painting the walls a bright cherry red.

Painting took up half my morning but slowly everything was coming together. I moved to the dinning room next. I threw a large plastic sheet over the new table we bought yesterday. It's long mahogany brown and can seat eight people.

I picked out a light Burgundy for walls. I started to paint those first before hanging the new curtains I got for the large windows.

I had finished the walls when my cell phone started to vibrate in my back pocket.

I pulled it out to see Tasha's face on FaceTime. I quickly answered.

"Tash, how are you?" I asked her.

"I'm good. How are you, did you fully mate yet?" She looked so excited.

"Yes or else I would be dying on the floor. It's so much worse when your mate is a Alpha. I made it what maybe five days before the pain was too much. I think my mom only lasted two days."

"Omg was it really that bad? I herd stories from my mom. She lasted five days too but it was a dull aching pain. She did tell me about about your moms. Your mom said it was awful."

"Yeah, I think my stubbornness helped a bit. I ended up collapsing in the closet while putting away shoes. Landon found me picked me up and took me to the bed."

"So how was it." She waggled her eyebrows at me giggling a little.

"Really really good." Just thinking about it makes me hot. I could feel myself getting a little wet.

Tasha squealed."How big is it?"

I couldn't help but laugh. "Huge."

Tasha squealed again. "Blake marked me!" She moved her hair of the side of her neck to show me a still slightly red bite mark. When it healed in a few hours it would be just a few skin tones lighter then what you are.

"That's great! You wanted him too right? Cause I will kick his ass!" I growled a little.

"Yes I did. We haven't fully mated yet. I kinda wanna see how long I can last."

"Yeah that's what I tried." I laughed.

"I miss you Sky, maybe Blake and I could come visit soon?" She asked.

"Of course! I'm just in the process of making this house look nice. It is so white and bare."

"The walls behind you look nice." She offered.

"I just painted those."

"Oh well, when are you starting school?"

"Next week I think. I still got to call and enroll." I bit my bottom lip I was a little nervous about starting a new school. I always had my pack at my school. I always had friends. Now I would have to make all new friends. It shouldn't be too hard. I'm a likeable person.

I jumped when the door behind me burst open and I turned to see and angry Landon. A loud growl ripped threw his lips and I could feel myself getting wet. Why do I always get turned on when he growls?

"Landon, what's wrong?" His eyes are searching the room for something.

"Where is he?" He growled again.
