"Hey! Mr. Sleepy-ass, wake up or I'll send you flying to the wall."
"Uuugh shut up you jerk" I groaned and hugged my pillow again. Then I felt pressure on my feet and the next thing I knew, I was being dragged away from my bed. So much for being a good roommate, huh.
"Nooo!" I whined as I fell on the floor. Then I heard a hysterical laugh from behind. I stood up and glared at my roommate. He was wearing his casual clothes already, boy, isn't he early. With his dark blue shirt and denim pants, his hair styled with the classic quiff, he sure looked good without giving any effort.
"Good morning?" He said in between small laughs. Ugh, lucky him, if he was someone I barely know I would've slap the shit out of him already. I started to walk, but quickly stopped when I noticed the room was too quiet again. I turned my head around and found him messing with his hair.
"сука" I spoke and walked to the kitchen, as the word passed my mouth, he instinctively looked at me. "Hey! Don't you use your Russian language on me." he pointed and followed me as I walked around to get my breakfast. First stop, the cabinet, picking out my favorite cereal and placing it in my bowl, then I added fresh milk. Now that I think about it, I haven't had a response yet.
"Why? Cause you don't understand?" I mocked and stuck my tongue out, no way you could beat that you punk. "Not bad, mate." And now there goes his thick Australian accent, ugh.
"You look cute when you do that." He said and grabbed my bowl of cereal. In what way was that even cute? "Ah gross." I looked away, trying to hide my red face. Then he laughed, "It's okay, I assure ya, I'm not gay." He rolled his eyes and continued eating.
Wait, "Hey, it's mine!" I said as I took away my bowl of cereal from him, before I could take my bowl we had a slight tag of war moment because he doesn't want to give it to me. Then a short snort followed. I'm living with a child, am I not?
"Alright then, let's get going or we'll be late." He said after he finished brushing his teeth. I looked at him and processed what he just said.
Then it hit me. It's Monday today! How could I forget!
I started panicking and running all over the room. "L-let me just take a quick shower! Oh fuck where are my books! Ugh I still have to shave, we're gonna be late! A-and my-" I was abruptly stopped with his loud laughter.
He placed his hand on my shoulder and said "Easy mate, we still have an hour before the bell rings anyway." and fled to the bedroom to grab his book.
"but you said we're gonna be late?" I shouted.
"I was just joking." He replied and laughed. As he stepped out of his room, I stared at him and gave a disapproving look, can I punch you now? ugh, annoying.
I shouldn't be bothered by such nonsense things so instead of arguing, I quickly ran to the shower, brushed my teeth, wore my shirt and pants, and prepared my things, leaving him in his own world.
"You never cease to amaze me at how organized and quick you do things." He followed my movements with stares, he smiled at me after I glared at him,but I swear I was melting at that moment. Then there was a brief moment of silence after that.
"Okey-dokey, let's go." I said to break the ice. We went out together since both of us don't wanna be late for our first class. We came to school early, mostly because I was panicking about the time. I got five subjects to deal with this day, so I better hurry up and embrace the boringness of this place. We then departed as soon as I reached the art building, he was in a different department.
While I got only five classes, my roommate, Jake had six. Ha, lucky me. Obviously, I'm taking a course about arts, and I can't see the reason why math still has to be included in my classes. Jake's taking a veterinary medicine course, which I find very hard to.. I don't know, endure? It's like being a doctor, but only for non-human animals.
Well I was also thinking of taking that course before because I love animals, especially dogs, but I thought, It's like learning Med too and med takes at least five or eight years to actually learn it, so I quickly aborted my plans and took arts instead. Drawing and painting are my only talents so I could at least stick with it and use it to earn a living, a comic book artist or perhaps a painter that sold their artwork for about hundreds of dollars.
Well I'm not that much of an artist so I really have to work hard to compete with the other students. I arranged my things before the class started and without me noticing, our professor came inside and gave us a surprise test.. yay lucky me.
... I.. totally failed that test, I could only wish I had at least reached B-. it was about history, and I don't really pay that much attention to this class compared to the others. Well I do think learning how art is done throughout different eras would be a great help for our future... if we're planning on taking a job in the art museum.
Moving on, next class is art class. This may be the only class I ever paid so much attention on, from instructions to the finish product, the process is what I actually love the most. As the bell rang, I hurried up to my next class and sat at the 3rd row. I took out my notebook and book, as well as my sketch book and pencil.
The class started quickly after all the students have entered the room. Today's lecture is about drawing, great! I really thought we would be making sculptures.. well, glad that didn't happen.
