Unkeepable Promises

There's a world full of people,
Yet only one of me and one of you,
Well,
I miss the sight of you,
The smile of you,
The pounding of my heart when you are close,
The awkward silence only I can make,
All these wonderfull feelings,
Yet,
Never knowing how to proceed,
Never knowing what to say,
Never knowing what to do,
Too scared too act upon,
It's nice to know you're not perfect,
Have troubles too,
For that's what makes us human,
I can't promise I'll always be me,
For winter comes around to break summer,
I can't promise that I'll not make mistakes,
For the darkness always loams closeby,
I can't promise I'll always say the right things,
For my words don't always speak in colors,
But,
Show me your flaws and I'll show you mine,
Give me your fear, and I'll give you my strength,
Give me your pain, and I'll keep you safe,
Give me your love, and I'll open up,
I'll promise you my love,
Just promise me, that when I'm there,
You'll take the leap with me.
