*ring ring*
I pick up the phone to see who's calling and with no surprise, it's Melanie.

"Oh hey Melanie, what's up"

"Nothing, I just wanted to know if you would like to come with us tonight to the carnival, it's only here for a week so i wanted to go before it left"

"Oh uhh let me ask my dad first to see what he says and what do you mean us"

"Oh right I forgot to tell you, it will be me, my friend Carter, and my friend Molly, you could also invite your little friend Alessia"

"Umm okay I'll ask her too, bye ill let you know"

That's weird Melanie has never had any interest towards Alessia and now all of a sudden wants to invite her. I head downstairs to ask my dad if i can go with Melanie to the carnival.

"Hey dad, can I go with Melanie to the carnival tonight"

"Natalie, you know it's not safe to be out there at night, especially with all these murders going on".

"Ohhh pleaseee dad", I beg "we're not even gonna be alone, we're going to he surrounded by people I assure you nothing is going to happen".

"Alright, well I'm about to go to work, I'll leave you $30 before I leave".

"Ok thanks dad" i say as I head upstairs.

I plop myself on my bed and take my phone out to call Alessia.

"HII", I shout to Alessia over the phone.

"HIIII", she shouts back.

"So guess what, Melanie has invited the both of us to go with her to the carnival".

"Uh uh, I don't trust Melanie after what we heard and saw".

"Oh c'mon Alessia, it'll be fun I promise".

"Ok whatever text me later when were about to leave to get ready"

" Ok bye" I say as I hang up the phone.

I peak out my window to see if my dad left yet, his car is gone. I go downstairs to get the money he left me and to get some breakfast. I'm not quite a chef so I just made some pancakes and eggs. As I eat I get a text from Melanie.

"So are you coming, or not?"

"Yea, my bad I forgot to tell you, Alessia is coming too"

"Ok great" Melanie says, I decided to leave her on read since their's really nothing else to say.

I texted Alessia to get ready at 7:30 and she has yet to reply, I hope she saw the message. Since I was done getting ready I decided to head downstairs to wait for Alessia, when I heard a honk right outside my window. It was Alessia

"Why didn't you answer me" I asked her while I got into her car"

"I wanted it to be a surprise, now turn on your GPS, I don't even know where we're going"

The drive to the carnival was such a relaxing and quiet time, Alessia had never been so silent in my whole 15 years of knowing her. I decided to ask her what was wrong, and then she told me, she was pregnant, I was happy yet mad because she was only 17.

"I mean that's great Alessia, but why, why now, you're too young.

"It's a beautiful thing Nat, aren't you happy for me?"

"Of course I am, Alessia, I'm just shocked, and are you sure you're going to be able to get on rides"

" I just found out nat, I'm not even a month yet, I'll be fine" she jokes.

We walk up to a booth to get our tickets when we see Melanie there too

"Would you look at that, good timing am I right, we just got here" Melanie says.

"Yupp, it is", I SAY.

Alessia and i say hi to Carter and Molly, got our tickets and started walking inside the carnival. I had to admit Carter did look quite familiar but eh whatever. It was so beautiful to see everyone having fun nothing can possibly go wrong here.

"Hey",alessia points to a rollercoaster, "I want to go on that".

"Well okay" I say as I grab both Alessia's and Melanie's hand, while the other follow.

We had to walk up very high to get to the top of the wooden rollercoaster. Alessia and Melanie were right by my side while Carter and Molly were whispering to themselves all secretly. Finally it was our turn to get on the ride, it had three rows of two seaters, peerect for us I was with Alessia in front, Melanie was behind us and Carter and Molly behind Melanie. The ride was so fast and fun we wanted to go on more rides. We probably got on 20 different rides before we finally got on a carousel, that would be our last ride we get on before we leave. Melanie was infront of me, and Alessia, Carter, and Molly were behind me. The carousel starts off slow and then goes faster, I stare back at Alessia seeing her take a picture of herself, then takes a picture of me, she looks so happy everything is perfect in her life rn it's makes me happy

"Hey Natalie", Melanie calls me to look up front, " before we leave we should really get some cotton candy, it's my fav.

"Yea, that sounds good, right aless-", I turn around to see Alessia and she's gone and so is Carter. "Hey Molly didn't you see where they went?" I ask her.

"Oh no, I'm sorry natalie i wasn't paying attention".

I knew she was lying, I hopped off the ride, even tho it was still going to go look for Alessia. I looked all over the carnival and I still couldn't find her, that's when I thought she might be in the car. I run to the car and start crying, Alessia was dead by her car, blood dripping down her neck. I look up at her windshield reading the words "nothing could possibly go wrong" written in her own blood.
