CHAPTER 2
Ivy's POV:
Ivy's mother started work only recently to fill her endless amount of free time. Her father was a tiler. Surprised? You'd think a man who wanted his daughter to become a highly regarded lawyer or doctor or some praised job would've been one of those pride filled business men. But no, he wasn't anything of the sort which is exactly why he wanted Ivy's future to be "easy". He always told her stories of how hard he worked to keep a roof over their heads and food on their table. But to Ivy he enjoyed his job and made plenty of money creating people's floors. He seemed to be living the life most dreamt of.
Her sister's escape from the tight grip of her parents was a little naive, smart, talented (or at least that's what she liked to think) and optimistic girl. Ivy. Once she'd been found to be smarter than Madeline all attention was turned to her to make her parents proud. She remembered Madeline creeping into her room once, late in the night a year before they moved to Sydney, like she was on an undercover mission. "Don't worry," she whispered taking a seat on Ivy's bed, "I'm here if you ever need an escape from their world and a rout back into yours." She didn't understand her then and her sister laughed at how clueless she was that her parents had made it their mission to shape her life. They had given them a curfew of 10 pm, a minimum of 2 hours of watching television on school nights and no music while studying rule. As you know that rule was dismissed very soon because she had won an argument about it. That is a memory glued in her brain because of it's scarceness.
Ivy rode the bus to school and made it through another predictable day unnoticed behind her stack of books and lack of social activity.
Harry's POV:
Peter called him an hour after they arrived in Melbourne. An urgent call from your manager wasn't the best news you could get and the jet lag didn't help. "This call was supposed to be made an hour ago Harry," he said in a calmly firm warning voice, "this is going too far and you know that; what happens to you sometimes Harry?"
"Uhh sometimes I'm thirsty for coffee?" he answered sarcastically; not exactly sure what he wanted him to say.
"Ahh fine, just don't do something like that again," he replied defeated and then ended the call. Harry returned his phone to his pocket and enjoyed the rest of the ride on the airport bus to their awaiting cars. Once they were all safely inside and out of some vicious girl's sight Zayn asked, "What'd he say?"
"Warning," he answered.
The boys chuckled and Louis patted him on the back saying, "Harry you are one perfect example of an annoying person. You have achieved my respect Lad," he grinned knowing what he'd planned to do to management in spite of them altering his personality was working. How could they want a bad boy image without expecting him to be a nuisance?
