We Need to Kill You

"Wait," Casey called out to the Beast as he was walking away. He jerked his head to the side, but didn't turn around. "Take me with you. I'll be good, I promise." Casey didn't understand the sudden feeling that overpowered her senses. A few minutes ago she was ready to kill the man before her. Now, all she wanted to do was stay with him.

The Beast turned around to face her and walked to the cage she locked herself in. "You want to come with us?" He questioned.

She nodded. "I can be of use. I won't tell anyone, I promise."
His face contorted and suddenly it wasn't the Beast talking anymore.

"Don't listen to her. She's lying." Ms. Patricia's voice spoke out of Kevin's mouth.

His face contorted to the other side. "She's dirty. We don't need her. What purpose will she serve?" The next voice was Dennis's. His harsh tone made Casey flinch. Dennis disappeared and Hedwig took his place.

"I want her to come! Please, she's my babysitter!" He pleaded.

"She's not your babysitter. Remember what she did to us?" Patricia snapped at him.

"Silence!" The Beast roared.
The other personalities vanished without another word. The Beast studied Casey quietly. He looked at her scars before looking her in the eyes.

"Why?" He asked her, offering her no explanation as to what the why meant. She took a step forward, took a breath, and answered.

"You see my scars. My uncle did this to me since I was a child. He's my legal guardian. I don't want to go home to him. I can't take anymore of his abuse. I just can't." Casey felt a tear escape her eye. She quickly wiped it away.

"People are going to start looking for you. And Kevin. I can help hide you. I promise I won't tell anyone anything." She was practically begging him at this point.

The Beast considered this for a moment before nodding. "You raise a good point. You were the most obedient out of the three. You only attacked when threatened. And you are pure." He stepped away from her cage and gestured for her to come out. Casey obeyed and stood before the creature before her. His veins were protruding from his chest and she could see the blood from where she got him with the shotgun.

"You'll do whatever we ask of you? Help us in any task?" She nodded. He put a finger under her chin and made her look in his eyes.

"I can't promise you anything. There will be death. And violence. I will protect us before you everytime."

She kept his gaze and replied, "I understand." He tilted his head, as if searching for an answer to a question.

"Very well." He agreed.

Casey grinned in relief, but wiped it off her face almost immediately. "Thank you." She replied.

The Beast grunted. "We need to leave. Now." He said as he started heading back to the tunnels.

"Shouldn't we be going the other way?" Casey asked, almost running to keep up with him.

"No. We have a few hours before cops start looking here for Fletcher. Gather as much as you can and we'll load it up."

Casey still didn't understand what she was doing, but didn't question him anymore.

When they got back to the living quarters they each went their separate ways to pack. Casey found a random duffel bag in the wardrobe area and threw a bunch of clothes in there. It seemed insane that just a few hours before she was trying to escape from him. Now, she's going on the run with a man who had twenty-four personalities inside of him. It was better than going home. She shuddered at the thought of being with her uncle again.

She zipped up the duffel bag and ran into the kitchen to see if there was anything in there that they needed. She was about to opens cabinet drawer when a force pulled her wrist from behind. She stumbled under the weight and pulled her wrist back.

The Beast was carrying about four different bags, but the weight didn't seem to affect him at all. "Just one more thing to do." He told her.

"What's that?" She asked.

"We need to kill you.
