I wake up to a loud banging by my head.
The guard stands there pounding on the metal bars of my temporary jail cell. He smirks at me "get up, your mom's here to get you" he says gruffly and unlocks the gate. I sigh "you know I'd rather just go back to sleep" I say grumpily. I hated dealing with my mom.The guard grabs me by the arm and drags me outside, my mothers standing there with rage all over her face. I smirk at the sight of her, "your daughters in here almost every week" the guard says annoyed. She smiles thankfully at him and nods. She then grabs my arm, dragging me to the car.
As we drive away from the police station and back to our house my mother doesn't say a word and neither do I. When we get home she drags me inside and sits me down on the couch across from my father in our small living room.
He glares at me angrily, "Hannah, your mother and I have been talking" he says looking over at my mom. I smirk "well that's dangerous" I say cracking up. He glares at me and I stop. He sighs "we've decided that enough is enough" he says leaning back on the couch "starting tomorrow you will be taken to an island for juvenile teenagers" he says getting up.
My father just stays straight faced when I look at him and laugh "you can't be serious" I say he nods "we are very serious, we are done with getting you out of that cell every week, we're done getting calls from your principle saying you got into another fight" I look at my mom and she shows no sign of care. I scoff in disbelief "whatever, as long as I don't have to stay here anymore" I say running up the stairs to my room.
I slam the door behind me when I enter my room. I pull out my two suit cases and my backpack from the closet and set them on my bed. How could they just send me away I thought shoving clothes into my case. I shove all my clothes into the two suit cases and than all my extra stuff into my bag. When I'm finished I set all my stuff by the door and grab my art bag from the closet. I set my art bag carefully on the rest of my bags and lay on my bed.
I think of what the island will be like, it'll probably be muddy and cold, and we'll have to sleep in tents and eat fried worms for all our meals. As I think I slowly drift off to sleep, as I sleep I dream of leaving, I dream of me leaving my best friend here without me. He has always been there for me, and I couldn't leave without saying goodbye. When I wake up it's about two in the morning, I put on a jacket and climb out my window. I crawl down our big oak tree and run down the street to Zach's house.
When I get to his house I start to climb the huge apple tree up to his window, I tap on the glass until the lights come on and he just stares at me half asleep. When he gets up and opens the window, he just looks at me. "Hannah what are you doing, it's two a.m" he says rubbing his eyes. I lay on his bed "I'm never going to see you again" I say trying not to start crying like a two year old. He sits next to me "what do you mean?" He asks looking at me sadly.
I sit up "my parents are sending me off to a island for juvenile kids for the summer, and if I can't behave during the summer than I bet you a hundred bucks they'll make me stay longer" I say. He puts his arms around me and gives me a hug. I sigh and hug him back, "Zach what am I gonna do?" I ask fearfully "I don't want to be stuck on an island with a bunch of strangers" I say. "Your over exaggerating Hannah, your not gonna be there forever"
