Hayes is your best friend. He has been for the past three years. You tell him everything.
It's the first week of Summer break and you're exited to spend it with your best friend, hayes.
You wake up and get a text. From hayes.
"Morning sunshine ;)" Hayes teases.
Once last year you told him about this kid that would always text you and annoy you and send you cheesey texts and you didn't even like him. So now hayes does it to tease you. Honestly hayes is a really cute kid. You just don't know if you could ever date your best friend.
"Hey ugly :P" you tease back
"Well then :(" he quickly replies
"Hayes you know you're a cutie" you text back.
"Yeah obviously! haha but anyways what's up?" he responds.
"Probably never been this bored. :/" you answer.
"Wanna go to the movies later. Like 5?" Hayes asks
"Sure!! See ya then!" You reply.
He says okay then you decide to get. Ready.
You take a shower and blow dry your naturally straight hair.
You normally leave it natural but you decide to curl it since you have plenty of time.
Then you change into a forever 21 shirt with a cross on it, American eagle jean shorts, and vans.
You walk into the bathroom and apply a thin coat of top eyeliner with light eyeshadow over it. Then you put on some mascara and lipgloss.
You're finally ready by 4:10
Hayes texts you saying he is leaving in 10 minutes. You text back saying you are too.
-10 minutes later-
"Mom! Can you drop me off at the movies?" You yell into the kitchen.
"Yes coming sweetie!" Your mom says.
You are almost there and hayes texts saying he will be waiting in the lobby.
"Bye mom. See you in a few hours. Love you!" You say.
She gives you $40.
"Love you too. Bye." She answers
You walk into the lobby and see hayes standing by the restrooms.
You tap on his shoulder and he faces you. His jaw slightly drops.
"What?" You laugh at his response to you.
"You look stunning." He smiles.
"Awe thanks. You don't look bad yourself." You reply with a giggle.
You pull out your phone.
"Let's take a selfie!!" You say.
First you both smile, then you take a bunch of silly face selfies.
You walk into the movie and it's only you two so far.
You start watching the previews and out of the corner of your eye you see hayes starting at you.
You continue watching. And you hear the quietest mumble of I love you. You look over at him and he quickly looks at the screen. You probably weren't supposed to hear him say that.
"I love you too." You say. You can't believe the words that just came out of your mouth. But they did.
He looks at you.
"You do?" He asks.
You really do. You never realized it, but you're in love with your best friend..
"Yes. I do." You reply.
"I was scared you wouldn't feel the same way. I didn't wanna ruin our friendship.." He answers.
"Nothing's ruined." You smile.
"So... Will you be my um girlfriend?" Hayes nervously asks.
"I would love to." You reply.
Then surprisingly kisses you softly on the lips.
You blush when he pulls away.
You sit and watch the movie together.
-movie ends-
"I think it was pretty good." Hayes states.
"Yeah me too!" You answer.
"Pretty good for a first date, huh." Hayes laugh.
"It was amazing." You say.
You can't believe your best friend is the person you love. But really he is. And now he's yours .
