Forbidden Love

Ponyboy's POV

"Get up Pony! We have to go meet the gang!" Darry yells to me from the kitchen. "I'm comin I'm comin!" I yell back as I finish greasing my hair. I do a quick mirror check and head into the kitchen where Darry and Soda, my older brothers are waiting for me. "Finally!" Darry says with a sigh. "Say your lookin snazzy, who you tryin to impress?" Soda asks. "No one Soda. I'm not really into any girl." I reply. "Hop to it boys!" Darry yells from the car. Soda and I walk to the car and once we are in Darry goes to the drive in.

We always go into Two-Bit's pick up to watch the movies. We park and see Dally,Johnny,Hazel,Cali and Steve in the truck already. "Pony, Soda, Darry! Get your butts over here the movies about to start!" Steve yells. We run to the truck and hop in. Once the movie starts I notice a girl,she was beautiful. I really dig her. She came over and sat by Soda,me,and Johnny. "Hey there Ri," Soda says while giving her a hug. "You know her?" I ask Soda. "Yea this is Riley. That's Ponyboy my little brother." Soda says pointing at me. "Hey!" She says. She was the most beautiful girl I've ever seen. She came over and sat next to me. I feel my face turn hot. Halfway threw the movie Riley leans her head on my shoulder. I didn't know what to do. Soda must of seen us and pointed to his arm. I got what he wanted me to do. I places my arm around her. I felt like the luckiest guy in the gang. Once the movie ended she picked up her head and we just looked at each other for a few minutes. The I heard Two-Bit yell "RILEY SAY GOODBYE TO YOUR NEW FRIENDS WE GOT TO GET HOME!" She waves bye to me. Two-Bit gets in my face "and as for you Ponyboy, I FORBID YOU TO DATE HER! She is my little sister and I don't want a gang boy to break her heart!" I nod a hop out of the truck in pure shock. That was Two-Bit Mathew's sister!

"PONY MOVE YOUR DAMN FEET!" Darry snaps me out of shock. I begin to walk and see Dally and Johnny. "Hey Pony! Come over here!" Dally yells. I run over. "So you dig Riley?" Dally says and gives me a nudge. I look to the ground and nod my head. "I KNEW IT!" Johnny burst out. I feel my face get red. "Aww he's even blushin about her." Dally says like he's talking to a baby. I shove Dally. "Whatever, let's get home." I say.

I get home just before Soda and Darry. "Hey you really hit it off with Ri." Soda says while messing up my hair. "Hey hey watch the hair." I say while blocking my head. "Whatever. Goodnight Pony" Soda and Darry go to bed and I fall asleep on the couch. I dreamt that Riley went to my school. It was great, until she fell in love with Johnny. I woke up clammy and breathing heavy. Time for school.

Riley's POV

I can't stop thinking about Ponyboy his adorable smile, his sparkling eyes. "Ri what's going on with you and Pony?" My brother asks me. "Huh oh nothing were just friends." I can't help but smile at the thought of him. "No I saw you. You really dig him don't you?"

"No I don't," I lied "and what's it to ya anyway?"

"Because," he shows me a backpack "you're goin to his school now."

I walk into my class and see Steve, Johnny, Hazel, Cali, Soda, my brother, Dally and Pony. There was a seat open in front of Dally, it was close to Pony he was next to Dally. I sit next to Johnny and Cali. Hazel sits in front of Johnny. She really digs him. Johnny taps Hazel "hey can I borrow a pencil?" Hazel and all the gang can see he's holding a perfectly fine pencil. "Sure," Hazel grabs him a pencil "here." "Thanks." As he grabs the pencil he makes sure to touch her hand. A few seconds later I feel a tap on my shoulder, it's Dally. I turn around and Pony's ears are bright red. "Pony really digs you." Dally says with a smile. Pony goes as red as a tomato within seconds. I smile and turn back around.

At the end of the day I grab my stuff and head out to the flag pole to meet up with the gang. I couldn't stop thinking about this morning, it made me feel so great inside. I finally make it to the flag pole and see Johnny and Hazel talking non stop and then he gave her a kiss. I'm guessing that Hazel got the "boy of her dreams" as she would say. The rest of the gang came pouring out of the school. I see Dally fixing Pony's hair and Soda smoothing out his jacket. Hell, I think everyone in the gang was fixin up Pony. He was trying to shoo them off when he saw me. They did what he asked. " Go Pony! Make your move," Steve says trying to whisper. Steve shakes Ponyboy by the shoulders,"Hey! Ponyboy!" Steve startled him, I could tell; Pony jumped back a little. Soda and Dally push him a little and he began to walk over to me.

I feel a light tap on my shoulder. I turn to see Pony's face. " Hey! How's it goin?" I say flashing him a smile. He looks at his feet. "I'm good; can I ask you something?"

"Sure what is it?" My heart beats 100 times faster. "Will you be my girl?" He asks slightly looking up. "Yes," I say and he gives me a hug. Then I thought of something, my brother! "How bout we just don't tell my brother." Pony nods in agreement. We hold hands as we go to catch up with the gang. I feel like the luckiest girl alive.

Pony's POV

I knew I was blushing like an idiot, but I didn't care. Nothing could bring me down... Except Two-Bit Mathews.
