Chapter five

Lillywhisker POV

I barely moved when the mouse came out from underneath the tree root. I was about to leap for it when a dark shape jumped out and killed the mouse. "Hey that was my mouse!" I growled at Stormtail as ke killed the mouse with one swift blow. "Are your claw marks on it?" He said sarcastically. He has only been here for three days and he thinks he is one of us already." Were your claw marks on it? because I didn't see any." I shot right back at him. "Ha. You're funny." he joke about that too.He takes a step closer. I could almost feel his breath against my face. I could also feel somebody staring at me.I look behind me to see if i could get a glimpse of familiar fur, but nothing was there. "do you want to go hunting sometime?" I whip my head back around to stare at him. "Are you serious?" I ask with surprise showing in my voice. "Yes I am. Do you want to go hunting sometime?" he asks again. "Fine. But no messing around." I tell him, flicking his shoulder with my tail. "You mean no having fun? Fine." he wine's fakely. " when do we go?" I ask "How about now? we both can finish up your hunting as a team. And as a team we can catch twice as much. what do you say?" he did have a good idea so I said yes.

We caught enough to feed to whole clan twice. we enter the clan with mouthfuls of prey. "whoah! thats a lot of prey!"Hawkflight exclaimed. I put the prey on the fresh kill pile and turned around to face stormtail and Hawkflight facing each other. "what were you doing hunting with MY mate?" Hawkflight asks Stormtail. "Hawkflight. I understand she is your mate now but cats are allowed to hunt with her." I had to stop them from fighting because it was coming to that. "Hawkflight It's ok I can hunt with stormtail. you are my mate, nothing can change that." I walk towards him and rub my head against his. I walk towards Stormtail "we still have more prey to collect, come on." i pad through the thorn tunnel, stormtail at my side." so, Hawkflight is your mate?" I stop for a second before walking on. "Yes. I thought you knew that." I look at the ground. "No I didn't. nobody ever told me." He spat. "Why are you mad?" I ask laughing crossly.He had no reason to be mad unless-" I'm not mad." he says, "Yes you are. You can't lie to me. I know you are. I can tell." I stop in front of him. He looks at me with ice cold eyes. "Lillywhisker I'm not mad. I just don't understand how somecat as beautiful as you become mates with that fake!" He spat. I just stare at him, his eyes showing a hint of disappointment. "Hawkflight is not a fake. He loves me. how could you say that! You don't even know him!"
I yell at him. "He is to Lillywhisker. Last night i was night hunting and i heard voices. So I go to them. He was with a white she cat. He called her rosie and told her that his plan is working. That he had you believing that he loved you. But really he's just using you to get to Reedstar." he got out, taking a deep breath. "You're just saying that because you're jealous." i said backing away. "Jel- you think i'm jealous. Of him. You're joking. Lillywhisker I'm telling you this now because i don't want you getting hurt. Lillywhisker pleaze believe me. I-" i cut him off,dine with his nonsense."You are jealous. And i don't believe you." I turn and walk off back to the camp.  Stormtail is wrong. Hawkflight does love me. Does he?
