V blushed when he realized what she said.
But Min-ji just laughed again. The sky then rumbled with thunder so they quickly ran to the car to go home. "Omo...I think there will be a thunderstorm tonight..." Min-ji said as they were driving home.
V looked up at the sky and shrugged, "At least we'll be home before then..." he replied. Though the sky was clear just an hour ago, heavy clouds now hung in the sky and looked like they were about to burst.
Min-ji smiled at him and nodded. "How was your day by the way?" V asked. With all that they talked about earlier, he forgot to ask about what she did today.
Min-ji told him about making new friends and eating out with them. He smiled at her and said, "Wow, our Min-ji is so kind-hearted..." then ruffled her hair again. She just laughed, "Stop it! I'm not that good!!" she replied. When they were halfway home, the rain finally fell and traffic became heavy.
V shifted uncomfortably in his seat when he saw the rain fall.
"Hey – what's wrong?" Min-ji asked. She didn't even know how she knew but something in her gut warned her that V was uncomfortable. At first V didn't want to confide in her but he remembered her eyes – full of trust in him that finally convinced him to share his hatred of rainy days. So he told her – everything.
Min-ji didn't say anything for a while.
She let him think in silence and was thankful for the rain outside which didn't require her to speak yet. Min-ji didn't experience any heartbreak over boys yet but what she did have was a shared hatred for a certain kind of weather which came with hurtful memories. She didn't give him empty promises or false hopes because she wasn't certain of the future too so she only said, "I hate sunny days by the way..."
V turned to face her, his expression unreadable, but he said, "Why?" She told him all about her love for cars and the accident that took her uncle's life.
V became quiet too but he finally smiled a bitter smile after a while, "I guess we're both weird huh..."
"I can comfort you on sunny days and you can love me on rainy ones..." and she didn't see him when he moved to kiss her.
Min-ji closed her eyes against the surge of giddiness that seemed to choke her. She kissed him back just as fiercely as he was kissing her as if willing away the bad memories that they shared. They stayed that way until they both ran out of air.
The look in V's eyes gave Min-ji goosebumps so she laughed to hide how affected she was by his hot kiss. V smiled smugly at her and enjoyed her blushing. 'Ohmigod! That smirk was so-' but she didn't get to finish that thought.
V looked especially sexy and was nothing like the boy who had kissed her on the mountain. It was like he had a switch that could make him cute at one moment then hot and sexy the next second.
"Shi-!!!" 'I'm screwed!!!' she screamed in her mind but out loud Min-ji barely stopped herself from cursing and still apologized even though V didn't hear her.
V didn't hear her at all and just held her free hand all the way home. Min-ji stamped the urge to squeal her heart out - 'I don't squeal!!!' she thought but she squeezed V's hand in response.
When they got to his dorm, she didn't park but just stopped right in front of the basement parking's elevator. "Goodnight Min-ji-yah..." V smiled at her.
Min-ji inhaled deeply and replied, "Goodnight Taehyung-ie," she replied. V waved at her even when she was driving away. He tried not to smile - who knows what kind of teasing he'll get from the boys later - but he couldn't stop himself.
