Sam's p.o.v

I smiled as I felt Eden let out a deep breath as she slept, causing me to snuggle her closer to me. It had been hours since she had gotten to sleep, but I had something on my mind.

After we had finished the paint war, we just left the wall as it was. It took a while to clean up, especially the dogs, but we got it done. On more than one occasion, I stopped to watch Eden. Her face was so concentrated when she was painting, myself not missing the way she bit her lip when she was lost in the painting.

The feeling that was in my chest only got bigger when we had our paint war. The way her eyes lit up, how perfect she looked with paint covering her. There was something I decided then and there. I only needed some help with the execution.

I had thought about stealing Eden's phone, but I knew she would be able to read the texts. I eyed the phone that was sat at her side of the table. I gently reached over her, making me shiver as her body heat spread to previously covered areas of my torso.

"Sammy..." She mumbled confusedly, but I just hushed her soothingly, kissing the top of her head.

She quickly fell back to sleep as I scooted back a little, using her own body as a block for the light of the phone. After letting out a silent sigh of relief finding that she didn't have a lock on it, I flicked through the contacts, finding Christine's and putting it in my own phone. I was careful not to stir Eden again as I put her phone in it's rightful place.

I couldn't do anything right now, so I just put my phone on my side table quietly, then resuming my position, hugging Eden to my body. I relaxed almost instantly as her scent hit my nose, causing me to tighten my hold. I quickly drifted into sleep, impatiently waiting tomorrow...

"Sam," Eden's voice woke me, "Sam?"

"Mmmm," I mumbled, opening my eyes slightly.

"You're mom is calling, I think," She answered softly.

"Okay, I'm up," I responded, sitting up and reaching for my phone.

I stood up, grabbing the phone and walking out of the room. I wanted to tell Mom, she would want to know. I sighed, walking into the room while my phone connected. Dean looked at me questionably, to which I mouthed 'Mom'.

For some reason, the line wouldn't connect, so I put down the phone. Eden walked in, her shoes already on.

"I'm going on a walk with the dogs," She explained, jogging up the stairs.

"Have fun," I called, getting a nod from her as she closed the door once the dogs went through, "Wait, I think Gust has something in his fur."

"I don't see anything," She said as she looked through Gust's fur.

I smiled, knowing full well that there wasn't anything. I sighed like I was slightly frustrated.

"Come here, I'll get it," I tempted Gust, who trotted up to me.

Once he got within whispering distance, I picked through his hair, purposely leaning towards his ear.

"Listen, if there is any small part of you that likes me anymore, I need you to do something for me," I started.

He nodded, tilting his head curiously. I grinned, not only glad that he would help, but also happy that he liked me. Maybe I had made up for being gone and getting myself killed.
