It was a cold winter night, about a year ago. I had forgotten a thick jacket because I wasn't expecting it to be this cold, and so, all I had was this thin jacket, but it barely fit me, let alone keep me warm. I was heading home from school after a long debate meeting that ended up lasting through most of the night until 7pm, my car was in the shop, so nothing I could do about it but walk home, my house was from a fair distance from the school. And here I thought the weather was only going to hit in the mid fifty or sixty, not go down all the way to the twentys, I might be resistant to the cold, but not when it's about to drop to zero. The ground was already covered with a bit of snow, about like one inch of it, there seemed to be no end to the amount of snow falling, though I thought it was a pretty sight to look at. But as I tried to keep myself warm by rubbing my hands together and breathing into my cupped hands, I guess I didn't see that rock in the road and just suddenly fell after tripping on the rock, I just laid in the snow wondering why the hell I didn't pack for colder weathers just in case. I was getting up when I suddenly heard a voice behind me "I saw you fell, are you okay?" I looked behind me and saw the most beautiful sight for the first time in my life, it was this girl, about my age and height, with long black hair and skin so beautiful like the snow that was falling. I answered her "Yea, I'm fine, thanks for asking." I say it with a straight face, but inside I was so embarrassed of myself "oh god, she saw you trip and fell with your face in the snow, how much worse can it be?" and looked at me with a smile and said "I see that you don't seem to be wearing enough clothing for tonight, how about you take my scarf? Maybe that will keep you warm enough to get home." I was blushing when she suggested it, a cute and beautiful girl lending me her scarf because she was worried? This is the first time something like this happened.
"Um..Sure, I would love to take that offer." I said while blushing, so she took off the scarf she was wearing on her neck and tied it around my neck not too tightly. Not sure if she saw me blushing bright red, but once she finished she said "Hey, that looks pretty good on you" "Thank You, hey wha-" She looks at her watch and exclaims "Oh no, I should be getting home!" She starts to run and I quickly yelled "Hey! What school do you go to!?" I guess she didn't hear me because I didn't get a response back. I stood there staring at the direction she ran into while clutching the scarf she let me borrow and I slowly walked home hoping that it won't be the last time I get to see her.
