PROLOGUE
Life has been alright after the rebellion. Things are back to normal again.
Well not exactly.
The Capitol is no longer a threat to the districts and the districts to the Capitol. They have supplied each district with more money than they ever had and are making sure we get the food and health we need. Things here in Twelve are a lot better than the used to be.
Peeta still gets a little confused but not usually. Willow, our daughter has just turned seven. We named her after a tree, a willow tree. She has long, golden brown hair and always sees the best in everyone; she probably gets that from Peeta. She has his creativity too. But she has my sense of the wilderness, even though she likes to sit and draw, she also likes to be outside with nature. Climbing trees, listening to the birds. Singing with the birds. Rye, our son, is turning five this week and is starting school soon. We decided to name him after a type of bread because of Peeta.
Rye is strong like Peeta, he may be young but he's strong for a little kid. He has Peeta's eyes, the type that make your heart flutter every time you look and them. He has blonde hair also like Peeta's and just like Willow, like me, he likes to be out exploring and one day, hunting.
