The car ride was extremely awkward. Niall sat in the passenger seat, so I was left in the back with Lucy and Zayn all over each other, as one of the boys minders drove us to the restaurant. Liam, Louis and Harry were in a separate car.
Arriving at the restaurant was even worse. Niall held my hand as we entered, but not in a sweet, romantic way, but much more possessive. He practically dragged me to the table in the far corner, by an interesting water feature, seating me next to him of course. I glanced up only to be met by Harry's piercing emerald eyes. Of course I had to be sat opposite him. My jaw tightened in anger. He would not ruin this meal. I would not let him.
"Hello my name is Nathan and I'll be your server for tonight." A young, well built waiter smirked in a flirty manor. "Could I get you any drinks?" He inquired, winking at me.
Niall and apparently everyone else at the table noticed the gesture, turning to me and then to Niall awaiting a reaction.
"I'll have a Guinness and my girlfriend will have a sparkling water, no ice." Niall replied, stressing the word girlfriend, before linking his hand in mine and smiling cockily towards both Harry and the waiter, causing Harry to roll his eyes and Nathan to frown, fumble with his notebook and struggle over his words.
"R-right and for the rest of you?" Nathan asked shyly.
The rest of the table turned their heads away from Niall's display of immaturity momentarily to order their drinks.
"Right I'll be back shortly." Nathan smiled weakly.
"Make sure there's no ice in my girls drink." Niall called obnoxiously as Nathan began to walk away.
My eyes dropped to my lap in complete embarrassment. I hated how Niall was suddenly treating me like an object, a possession. Nathan turned around hastily, clearly a little frightened of Niall.
"O-of course sir." He rapidly flustered in reply.
I felt incredibly sorry for him.
Niall began to chuckle to himself as he leaned back in his chair, clearly impressed with showing me off as his and the power it was giving him over these men.
I suspect Niall's aim with Harry was to once again rub it in Harry's face than I was with him, but Harry appeared unfazed as he studied his menu with care. I silently commended him for being to bigger man and not giving in to Niall's digs, as I tensely scrolled through my own menu.
---------------------------------------
We had already eaten our starters and had somehow managed to all remain civil and were waiting on mains. The conversation somehow turned to the boys gym sessions.
"I'd say I'm getting a lot more buff." Niall spoke. "Now I've got a beautiful girl to impress." He added. Normally I would've blushed at this comment, but I knew Niall was only saying it to provoke Harry. Harry merely swallowed and started to nibble on a bread roll. I turned to Lucy who was smiling sympathetically. No one else commented. Well that was a way to end a conversation Niall.
Nathan interrupted our awkward silence by bringing in the first of our meals, Lucy and I's.
My steak was placed carefully in front of me.
"Excuse me, my girlfriend asked for her steak to me cooked medium-well, this is practically raw." Niall remarked.
I looked at my plate and sure enough there was a large amount of red juice leaking from the portion of meat, but it wasn't that much of a big deal, I was so hungry, I honestly didn't care.
"Oh, I'm really sorry sir, I'll take it back immediately."
"Niall it's fine." I said quietly.
"It's not fine!" Niall growled. He turned back to Nathan. "She asked for it to be cooked medium -well, so go back and get her a steak that's cooked properly." He boomed.
"Niall I said its fine." I said through gritted teeth.
Niall grabbed my plate and shoved it at Nathan, still demanding I had a new meal.
"Niall I said its fine!" I shouted. Heads around the restaurant turned towards us. Looks of disaprovment evident. I was now breathing deeply. Niall looked bewildered, as did Nathan, and the rest of the table looked equally as shocked. Exempt Harry who I saw chuckling to himself.
"So you think this is funny do you?" I asked sassily.
"No, I uh."
"Well it's not, none of this is funny so shut up!" I shouted, him instantly ceasing the childish giggle and his smile was replaced with a look of hurt.
I breathed deey before turning back to Niall.
"Niall I am fine with having a rare steak." I spoke firmly. "What I am not fine with, is my boyfriend showing me up in public by being a possessive twat!" I screamed throwing my napkin at him and storming past the staring tables and strutting out the front door of the restaurant. I was beyond furious.
Harry's POV
I couldn't help but laugh when Ella stood up for herself against Niall. Although my eyes went wide when she told me to shut up. There was so much venom in her voice, but somehow I knew it was mainly Niall who pissed her off. He had been such a dick tonight. To busy trying to annoy me, to realise he was upsetting Ella. After calling Niall a twat, throwing her napkin at him and storming out, we were all in absolute shock, especially Niall who staring at the napkin which had just hit him in the face, bewildered and at an absolute loss for words. I wanted to laugh again, because he deserved it, but I didn't. I wanted to go after Ella as well, but again I didn't.
"Well I suppose that's the end of the meal then." Louis sighed.
"Nice going Niall." Zayn added sarcastically.
"What did I do?" Niall whined with wide eyes.
Everyone just looked at him like he was stupid. Even stangers. Was he really that dumb?
"What didn't you do!" Lucy screeched. A shouting match erupting between Lucy and Niall in middle of one of the most prestigious restaurants in London.
"Just get us the bill please." I muttered to a horrified Nathan.
