Chapter Ten

"Hey, where are you guys? The rest of us are heading down to the beach to hang out a bit and play some games if you want to come?"

Gajeel's phone pinged with a message from Levy, he read it before showing his phone to the rest of his friends. They were still slouched at their hideout, a little bit intoxicated as well. Juvia read the message and nodded. "I'd like to go, you guys?" She asked the others, Jellal nodded whilst Laxus shrugged his shoulders. Gajeel nodded and replied to Levy, telling her that they'd meet them at the beach. It was still midday, around 1pm. "My car is out front of the school, let's go." Laxus altered them, standing up as they all began to make their way out of their secret hangout spot. Once outside, they started walking towards the car that was within eye range. "Hey can we stop by my house before we go? It's not like anyone packs a bikini with them to go to school." Juvia asked Laxus, who shrugged. "Yeah sure, I don't care." Juvia rolled her eyes at his nonchalant response as they all boarded his car, Juvia swept her shotgun seat before Gajeel even had the chance to reach for the door. The pierced man frowned at Juvia, glaring at her as he and Jellal stepped into the backseats. Juvia smugly smirked to herself in victory as Laxus zoomed away towards her house.

After gathering her things, Juvia had changed into a pair of unbuttoned jean shorts and a sheer, white top in which you could visibly see her small blue bikini. She sat back into the car, Jellal and the boys had went to his house to get their own pairs of beach wear. When they were all ready, Laxus drove off and it didn't take long for them to arrive at the beach. Juvia stepped out of the car and challenged Gajeel to a race towards the shore. Gajeel and his competitive nature couldn't refuse, so they both sprinted forward into the sand. Naturally, Gajeel was the winner. He smugly rubbed his victory in Juvia's face, who proclaimed he cheated somehow. In the distance, Levy and the rest of the group were running towards them as they all merged together into one big hangout. "Hey guys!" Levy cheerfully said. "Are you always this cheerful, shrimpy?" Gajeel replied to her, Levy rolled her eyes. "Yeah, are you always this grumpy?" "Yep." They conversed.

The group would each split off into different activities, Jellal, Levy, Erza and Lisanna competed in a volleyball competition against each other. Gray, Natsu, Gajeel had a swim race, Juvia, Lucy, and Mirajane all rested on the sand and sunbathed. Laxus and the Strauss brother, Elfman, were arm wrestling. Juvia had stripped her cover clothes off and laid down on her back in the sand. Her blue hair spread around her, and her large breasts peaked through the tiny triangle material covering her nipples. Her bikini bottoms consisted of a string, thong. Most of the girls were dressed similarly to sunbathe, all with different colours and patterns to reflect their personalities.

"At the beginning of this month, I didn't think I'd ever be laying next to you of all people, sunbathing." Juvia said, directed at Lucy who giggled. "Yeah, me too." She agreed. "I probably would've sunbathed with both of you!" Mirajane cheerfully chimed, causing the other two girls to burst into laughter. Juvia closed her eyes, feeling the sun sizzle on her fair skin. That was until she felt a shadow cover the sun above her. Juvia groaned, opening her eyes. "Where did the sun go?..." she muttered, looking up to find a dripping, wet Gray standing above her. "Oh christ..." she exhaled loudly, causing Lucy and Mirajane to look at her and giggle at her reaction to Gray, who smirked in return, Juvia's eyes trailing down to see his toned abs and defined chest, her eyes kept lowering and lowering...- "What're you looking at?" Gray asked her, Juvia's eyes snapped back up, her face turned red as she was called out. "Nothing! You're in my way." 

She deflected, standing up from her sunbathing spot. "Did you need something?" She asked, staring up at him. Gray's heart skipped a beat as they held eye contact. He stared into her big, blue eyes and it made his stomach flutter. Gray coughed, to clear his throat and stepped back. "I was just going to ask if you wanted to go for a swim. Gajeel says you're faster than he is." He said, gesturing to the sea. Juvia smirked at his request. "Gajeel is right. You can't keep up with me." She challenged, making her way into the water with Gray walking behind her. He'd be lying if he said he didn't stare at her ass the entire time she walked. Once in the water, the two positioned themselves. "First one towards that clutter of rocks?" Juvia asked, pointing to a bunch of rocks further away from the beach. "You're on. Ready, set, GO." Gray called. The two dived in, and while Gray's physique was better than Juvia's, she was way faster at sea than he was. She easily beat him with seconds to spare. Once arriving at the rocks, Juvia stepped up on them as Gray finished not long after her. "Gajeel was right, you are fast." Gray said, floating over to her on the rocks. "Of course, I love swimming so I got pretty good at it." She told him. The two were currently leaning against a massive rock, talking and concealed away from the beach.
