2. A Couple Of Weeks...Dinner was amazing. It tasted amazing, but I missed the nuggets and fries from McDonalds. We were all onto desert eating a chocolate mousse. Savouring each bite.
"I think it's time to tell her." I was clearly the only person who had no idea what was happening, my father stood up with his glass of wine. I drank a sip of my own, and waited for the rest.
"Florence and Zander will be getting married to join France and England." My father said again. They were getting married. Well that was not what I was expecting.
"Wait, so why did I have to come to England." I would have rather gone back to France then here.
"We moved you too Oxford, as it's closer to London, where the wedding will take place." My mother said again. I nodded wanting to know more about the wedding. I would have to talk to Florence.
"We better get going, we have a flight to France." My mother said after some silence. I knew I would have to go back to the Penthouse.
"Adam, you going back." I whispered in his ear.
"Sadly yes, and Felix is going as well." I groaned knowing I would now be alone.
Zander's brother still hadn't said anything he was just concentrated on his phone.
"Darling, will you be going as well." My mother said again.
"Probably." I told her, she gave a stern look, telling me to be a little more politer.
"I don't know mamá." I rephrased.
She nodded and kissed my cheek, my father did the same and I hugged Adam and Felix. Florence did the same except instead of hugging the boys she just said goodbye. The King and Queen were in a deep conversation with Zander, so I took the chance and started talking to Florence.
"How long did you know?" She knew I hated being the last one to know stuff, she may have made our parents wait to tell me to spite me.
"A couple of weeks." She was so infuriating.
"A couple of weeks." I repeated.
"Yeah, it wasn't two weeks but it wasn't a month." She said with a smirk.
"I know what 'a couple of weeks' means." I sent a glare to her again.
"I think I'll be going." I told the King and Queen, I got up and started to stroll out, to the door.
The same lady gave me back my coat. I called Liam, but he had told me that Felix had dismissed him. I mentally scowled at him and started contemplating what to do, before I finally felt a tap on my shoulder.
"What you still doing here?" I turned around and saw Zander's sculpted face.
"My driver left because of my brother." I simply replied, I had to look up as he was taller then me, about 6'2".
"You can stay here." Zander offered putting his hand through his hair.
"It's ok, I can get a taxi." I told him about to walk off but instead he grabbed my wrist and held me in place.
"I can drive you." He finally said huskily again.
"Umm, ok." I just wanted to go to my bed and un pack. I would have to wake up early to get to orientation for my last year, and when my mother meant close, she didn't mean a half hour walk. She meant a two hour car journey. I would have to wake up early.
I already had my lessons and everything but I had some morning classes, and afternoon classes and sometimes, I helped at a high school in Massachusetts. I could try and find a job here as well.
As we got into one of his many cars, we sat in silence until finally, he decided to talk.
"What you majoring in?" I gave a confused look as I had no idea what he was talking about.
"What are you studying at university?" He asked this time.
"Oh." I let out an embarrassed sign and finally answered. "English Literature and Language." I told him.
"That's a good subject especially at Oxford, what university did you go before." He was very interested in my life clearly.
"Harvard." I muttered quietly, I always thought my life was little boring, I went to balls and banquets with my mother and saw multiple french men trying to marry me. It was the same cycle. That was one of the reasons I left France for America.
I did have a lover in America, I loved him, a relationship of two years now cut off because of distance. I wanted to see him so desperately, wanted to see his grey eyes, his blonde hair, that I could put my hands through.
"You ok." I had been daydreaming a lot lately and Zander must have thought I was weirdo.
"Yeah uh fine." I mustered out trying to not look at his perfect features. I had got a text from my ex, as we were still great friends, telling me he missed me. Nobody knew I was a princess, they just thought I was mega rich.
"Your boyfriend." Zander said peaking over, his jaw clenched when the last word was spat out.
"Ex." I told him.
"Is he harassing you." A hint of worry came out of Zander's mouth.
"No, we only broke up because of distance but are still great friends." I told him and his jaw was still clenched.
"Your place." He said and pointed outside seeing the apartment complex. I nodded and said goodbye going straight up. Everything had been placed where it should be, I moved to my room where my clothes were folded, I put some in the drawer and some in the wardrobe.
I lay down on my mattress thinking over today, my sister was getting married to a greek god. It wasn't even love and it was kinda disgusting.
I looked around for my phone, but instead I found nothing. My pockets were empty. I muttered a cuss before realising I must have left it in Zander's car. I had no way of contacting him, so I was stuck until I saw Florence or him.
I got my laptop and I checked my schedule, it was afternoon classes, 12 till 5. I would have to leave at 9; I hated traffic and I wanted to be early to explain well my life. The media had already caught that I was going to Oxford and filmed me and took pictures of me. In America the only person who knew I was a princess was Michael, ( my boyfriend) he was sweet and understood. I would probably have to tell them, if they saw me.
I fell asleep setting an alarm for 7. I was an early bird and liked getting up early to go for a run. I quickly changed my mind and changed the alarm to 6. So I would be even more ready for the day.
Tomorrow would be fun, hopefully.
