"...I will never lose hope that we will eventually have our second chance.
And I will never stop hoping, harreh. never.
-zayn "
Harry was stucked on his macbook since this morning, when he checked his mail and opened this letter. he had been reading it for the nth time now, even him lost count.
"three years..." he mumbles. "Th-three... fucking.... years..."
he was inbetween sobs. He felt pathetic. Not just for crying over a letter he read a million times, or for crying on his 21st birthday, or for crying itself. He felt pathetic for a lot of things. The letter brought him back to the days when he will wake up to the beautiful face of his love, and sleeping next to it. This letter was a ticket to memmory lane, and thats the last thing harry needs. anything but that. for the past years, he had been trying his best to find distractions so that even in the slightest time, he will forget the painful feeling of remembering how perfect the feeling was of being with him. The heartbreak that almost killed harry when he left him. Even his name is a pronoun. The thing that hurts remembering for harry the most is his name. I cant believe he wrote this... I cant believe he loved me this much even after I left him. Harry thought, before his puffy red eyes got tired of crying and closed, as he fall asleep on a small office desk in his single flat in paris.

An annoying ring from his iphone was the one to woke harry up. he reached to it lazily but he dropped it instead. "ugh. come on!" he shouted, irritated by his own clumsyness.
"what the hell do you want, lou?" he said after answering his call, seeing it was from louis.
"open up! Ive been knocking on the door for like half an hour now, so you better open up!" Louis commanded impatiently. Harry sighed as he put down his phone and got up from his office chair, walking a bit fast to open his door.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY HA-- mate? what happened?" Louis questioned as he carefuly put down the cake he was holding so the candle that was lit will stay on its place, and hugged harry before he even explain.
"He sent me a letter, Lou..." Harry mumbled, his voice still broken from crying all day. tears are threatening again in his eyes, He cant help it, he feels comfortable crying in the arms of his best mate. "Its okay hazz, Im here now. lets get inside." Louis said, as he rub the back of his bestfriend, trying to give him all the comfort he needs.

Louis finished preparing the tea and placed it on the center table that seperates both lads, as he sat on the floor across harry, who was sat on the couch. Harry had been crying silently on the couch ever since they entered the flat, staring into the tv screen that was off the whole time. Louis looked at his best mate, already having an idea what happened.
"when you said he wrote you a letter, do you mean..." he trailed off, knowing what the mention of his name does to harry. "z-zayn." harry whispered in between sobs. oh god. Louis thought, knowing that zayn was a verry touchy subject. why now.
"It was written three years ago, Lou. He said he will never stop hoping.." Harry said, his voice broken as ever. "Letter-later?" Louis questioned, but he already know the answer. "I still love him, lou.. I... I never s-stopped loving him.." harry cried silently, unending tears streaming down his face. "I know hazz, I know. But what can we do? Its been three years already. We dont know anything about him anymore. We dont even know if.. if he still wants to see you.." Louis whispered the last part, avoiding eye contact with harry as he did so. Harry looked at louis for the first time, hurt written all over his eyes. "He said he'd never stop hoping..." harry reminded louis. Louis sighed, wanting his best mate to atleast be happy on his birthday. "okay, so he said that.. but what about you? do you want to see him again? are you READY to see him again?" Louis questions, making sure to emphasize the word ready. "I want to see him again.. for three years thats all I wanted to do..." Harry replied, he had just finished crying. he never said he's ready. because he isnt. he knows it himself too. Louis thought to himself but decided againts bringing it up. "fine. So since we're opening a branch soon on London, do you want us to find zayn then?" He asked. he thinks that this is a bad idea, but if this will make harry happy, then so be it. "london... Oh damn it I forgot about that! youre a genius, Lou! yes, lets find zayn!" Harry cheered. Louis smiled, finally seeing his best mate smile for the first time today was worth the risk of going back to london. "Okay, but we have to celebrate your birthday first. youre 21, mate! we still have 2 hours till its over!"

Theres just something about how he bakes that kept their pastry shop growing.
"Harry, c'mon mate, get going!" Louis called, already a few steps ahead of harry. "yea, jus a sec." harry said, more to himself as he take one last glance of paris from the glass window wall of the airport. "bye paris.. see you soon, zayn." harry smiles, and starting catching up to louis and his team.
