Chapter 11

10 years later

Veronica POV

Veronica - GET OUT OF MY HOUSE!!!
Husband - BUT I DIDNT.....
Veronica - GET OUT!!!!

That piece of shit was out of my house in a second. I wiped my face from the sweat. I had just found out that my husband had an affair with another woman. I never want to see him again. He would start coming home drunk and constantly tried to abuse our daughter and I. I'm so happy that he can finally be out of my life. That crappy excuse for a lawyer.

Skyler - Mommy? What....where is daddy.
Veronica - It'll be okay Sky. Daddy's gone now. He was a very bad man and I promise that he will never hurt you again.

Kurt POV

Kurt - RAM??!!! RAM!!!!!

I ran through the woods and let my hair fly through the breeze. I had never changed ever since high school. Ram and I loved just coming outside and just running around and having fun. We loved the darkness and the beauty of the moon and stars. I had turned around and Ram had disappeared.

I heard a loud howl ring through the trees. I looked in the direction of it and felt something grab me. I screamed and punched whatever it was. I heard a soft cry as I turned and saw Ram holding his stomach where I had punched it.

Kurt - Ram! Baby! I'm so so sorry! I didn't know what you were and....
Ram - It's okay Kitten! Just come on! It's really dangerous right now. We need to go back home!

I followed Ram out of the darkness and dangers of the forest. We ran and laughed until we reached our front porch. We had a house in the middle of the country. Our yard was humongous and we loved to play in it with our dogs.

Ram - Barry! Brenda! Belinda! Billy! Bobby! Thor!

Our five little puppies and their mother bounced out to us. Our house was pretty large and nice. I picked up my secret favourite puppy, Bobby, and held him up to my nose. He barked and licked my face. I giggled and kissed the top of his head as I set him down. He wasn't the only one to be kissed on the head though. I turned around to have Ram give me a quick peck on my head. He walked into the kitchen to grab the dogs food.

I bounced into the living room and grabbed my laptop to watch some YouTube. I had what seemed like millions of videos that popped into my recommended. Ram came down to sit next to me. He looked like he had something on his mind.

Kurt - Is there anything on your mind Ram?
Ram - Yeah.
Kurt - Wanna show and tell?
Ram - Do you ever think about what happened to Veronica?
Kurt - My sister?
Ram - Yeah, I mean, we just left them all. What happened to our parents, and our friends, our enemies?!
Kurt - I guess...I guess I've never really thought about it.
Ram - It just came to my mind.
Kurt - Ram, you wanna go back to Ohio, don't you?
Ram - Yeah.
Kurt - Well then your wish is my command. I just have to call someone to come here. She can probably watch the dogs.

I grabbed my phone and walked upstairs. I dialled her number and put the phone up to my ear.

Kurt - Hey Martha....

JD POV

JD - Listen buddy, you're not gonna get those donuts for free! Trust me I've tried before!

I watched as the man in front of me sighed and out his money on the counter. I smiled and threw his donuts into a bag and watched as he walked out with a scowl.

It had been ten years since high school and I was owning at a 7/11. I guess I had just been here so much that the person who owned it gave it to me. He was going to close it down but I gave it life again.

But, I needed people to work here for me.

HeatherM - What a dick!
JD - I know right!
Martha - Umm...boss.

Heather only worked here to support me and because she thought it was fun. She didn't even have to work at all since her dad was so loaded. She was a real friend to me ever since a few years ago.

Martha also came to work here at the same time. It was kind of awkward to own a business with your two high school friends...but we managed.

JD - Martha I've told you hundreds of times. Call me JD like you did in high school.
HeatherM - Or JASON!!!
JD - NO!!!
Martha - I was wondering if I could get next Monday off.
JD - Why?
Martha - I'm going to be watching my friends dogs.
JD - Sounds like a lame excuse.
Martha - Please!!!
JD - Fine, but that means Heather has to do twice as much work.
HeatherM - HEY!!!

I laughed as I heard the clink of the door. This signalled that we had a customer. I looked at the woman who had just walked in. I feel like I recognised her from somewhere...but I don't really remember.

HeatherM - J...J.D
JD - Shutup Heather!
HeatherM - But its!

The woman walked up to the counter and put a slushie on top of the counter as well as a few bucks. My kind of girl.

JD - Slushie huh? You going to go freeze your brain.
HeatherM - *slaps face*
Veronica - Uummm yeah. I guess you could say that.

Veronica POV

Freeze your brain? I know where I've heard that quote before. That was before I even moved back to Ohio ever since college ended. But it....it can't be. Can it?

I looked to the guys face. I definitely recognised him form somewhere. I looked at the two girls that were behind him. I again felt like I recognised the blonde haired girl that was looking at me. I couldn't quite see the other girl since her back was facing me.

I looked to the mans name tag and what I saw amazed me.

J.D.

Jason Dean.

Veronica - JASON!!!!
Martha - Jason?
JD - VERONICA?!!!
HeatherM - HEATHER!!!
