CHAPTER 10
PYPERS POV
"I was.." I said looking down,
"You were?" Mercedes said
"I was at mom and dads cabin" I said with a shameful look on my face.
It was quite for awhile till Brent broke it.
"Dats wrong, Mhmm." he said trying to break the silence.
"Brent!" Mercedes said mad, she stomped upstairs and started throwing things around.
"I'll go check on her." Hayes said running upstairs,
MERCEDES POV
Pyper just told us she was at mom and dads cabin and now I'm in my room throwing everything around. I heard Hayes running upstairs so I ran onto my patio and closed my door,
"Mercedes?" Hayes said quietly as he opened my door,
I didn't reply,
"Crap, she threw a lot of thing around." he mumbled to himself.
I walked out of my patio and sat on my bed.
"Hayes?" I asked
"Yeah?" he answered
"Have you ever noticed that Pyper doesn't look like anyone in her family?" I asked again with a worried look on my face,
"Uh, kinda. Why?" he asked
"Well when she was gone, and don't tell her this, but I went in her room and looked through some old photos, there was barely any of me and her or her and Brent, but there was a picture of a guy and he and her were.. kissing. but I have never seen this guy before in my life, and there was another one with her and these two adults and her and them were hugging like they were family. but again I didn't recognize them." I could of gone on for ages but Hayes stopped me,
"Mercedes, breathe." he said grabbing my hands.
A tear rolled down my eye, I got up and grabbed my bag. I threw a towel, sun screen, sunglasses, earbuds, and my phone.
"Where are you going?" he asked
"The beach. wanna come?" I asked
"Sure just let my grab my stuff." he said
He ran to his house then a second later he was in shorts and had a towel.
"Ready?" he asked,
"Yeah!" I said as we walked to the beach Hayes stopped me
"Mercedes, I have to tell you something."
