She died. She had died, and no one would remember her. She didn't have any friends, her family had died off two months prior. Her husband left her to take care of his children, and she couldn't, she failed, and sent them to a foster home to be taken better care of.

No one would care, people would go on with their lives, not even noticing she didn't show up for work. Not noticing the small impact she had on the tiny world she lived in had left. Her landlord wouldn't realize until he came to pick up this month's rent, and she wasn't there to pay it.

Maybe her plants would die, and her items would get dusty until someone came to collect them, but otherwise, the world was untouched by her hands.

The only one who would notice, her cat. Her cat would notice.

The cat would be affected by her death, he would mourn her, and be upset to find her dead in her bedroom, her wrists pouring blood. The poor thing would go up to her, look for signs of life in her.

He would nudge her hand, hoping for her loving touch, he would long to hear the sound of her breathing as he curled up next to her sleeping body, long for himself to be able to wake her up every morning.

He would miss her, he would be the only one who mourned her. It's sad, but true. She was the girl who's cat would mourn her.

And so, the cat did. He mourned her.

Prompt – "The only mourner, her pet cat."

Hey guys! I hope you enjoyed my first writing prompt story in this book! It was super fun to write, and I hope to do a lot more in the future. Sorry that these are so short, in comparison to my normal chapter lengths, but they are just writing prompts, so don't expect something super long. Anyways, bye guys, and enjoy the other prompt one-shots created by my friends!
