Together Again

Chapter 2

Deedee's POV

"HA HA I won!" Hayes stuck his tongue out at me.

"Put that tongue back in your mouth." I laughed.

We both plopped down on the couch.

"So what game do you want to play?" He asked.

"Ummmm Call of Duty: Black Ops!" I replied a little over excited.

Nash ran into the room.

"Did you just challenge him to a game of Black Ops?"

"Uh yeah, why?"

"He's like the master of that game! I can't even beat him, and that's saying something."

"Well, I guess I can try." I shrugged.

Hayes ran and put the game in.

He grabbed the controllers and handed me one sitting down next to me.

We started the game and went head to head.

"WHAT?! HOW DID YOU BEAT ME?!" Hayes jumped up.

"I don't know." I lied.

"How are you that good at this game?" he was still shocked.

"My best friend from Greensboro, where I used to live, Hayden Tyler taught me how to play and taught me all his tricks. We literally played everyday for about 3 hours the entire summer." I smiled.

"Are you serious?" He glared at me.

I nodded and smiled.

"I'm just that good." I smirked.

"Whatever. You suck." He muttered walking away.

I ran after him and grabbed his shoulders.

"I don't suck," I turned him around," I'm the one who won."

He shoved me backwards.

Not hard though.

But the thing was my feet were crossed so I couldn't catch myself so I fell backwards.

I landed hard on the ground.

I mean it's hard wood flooring emphasis on the hard.

I landed on my back then my head slammed back.

"Ohmygod are you okay?" Nash yelled as him and and Hayes knelt down beside me.

I tried sitting up but I got really dizzy. I softly laid down again.

"I'm so sorry." Hayes said to me.

"It's fine I promise. Just can y'all help me to the couch and get me 3 ice packs."

They nodded.

I reached for them to grab my hands but Nash scooped me up bridal style.

"Well okay then." I giggled.

He sat me down on the couch as Hayes ran up to me with the ice packs.

I placed one under my back and behind my head.

"Can you put this one on my left knee?"

"Why?" He asked putting it on my knee holding it there as he sat on the couch by my legs.

"I injured that knee a few years ago and it just hyperextends really easily."

"Oh, that must suck."

I nodded," It really does."

"Are you okay?" Skylynn stood beside me.

"Oh yeah girl I'm fine! I promise."
