Would You Miss Me?

        It's 4 am so sorry if I made a mistake. Hope you enjoy....ON WITH THE STORY!

        Here I am, walking back and forth, steadily balancing on the thin ledge. My expression is eerily vacant. My mind is a blank canvas, empty and plain, waiting for someone to paint a beautiful portrait of emotions and thought. I wait for what seems like eternity, but they never seem to come.

        I carefully turn to look over the brilliantly lit city, I move slowly, trying not to lose my balance. The flashing red and white lights along with the blaring sirens capture my attention. The frantic yelling and shouting of the gathering spectators fills my ears. Yet my face remain expressionless.

        I look up from the commotion. At any other moment it would seem like a breathtaking view, the city's glaring lights and the gently rolling hills in the distance, it was almost surreal. But, as I look into the distance, all I see are opportunities missed. I see a glistening city filled with people who have let me down. A city that fills my mind with memories that I wish would just vanish from my thoughts. From where I stand I can see a place that I once called home, a place that is now unfamiliar to me. I think back to the day when it all clicked.

          "You know, something seems different about you? You seem...Happy"
        
         I let out a weak laugh "For good reason," I paused trying to hide my emotions. I wouldn't want to give it away.
       
         She tilted her head questioningly. "And that is?"
       
         I smiled "some things are better left unspoken Brie." She quirked her eyebrows up giving me a suspicious look. She seemed to let it go after that, at least I hoped she would. Why was I so happy? Simple. I finally found....my escape.

        My thoughts drift to my current situation. I take a deep breath and softly sit on the rim of the building, my surroundings seem to fade as I think of how I ended up here, and how it all began.

***Yay hope you guys like the first chapter. Sorry it was short ... I don't have a lot of time to write. The next one will be longer. I'm not very good at writing so tell me what you think! Good? Bad? Ehh? Any way I don't know how often I'll be updating so I would expect once a week or so.(A/N I lied don't expect much I'm a huge procrastinator *insert awkward laugh*) I don't know how to end this so..... bye!

Almost forgot! I haven't chosen a name for the main character yet. She has black hair and blue eyes. So if you have any suggestions let me know. (A/N I was thinking maybe not mentioning her name at all throughout the story. Let me know what you think.)
