So, before we start I should point some things out.
First off, I have only played up to Spectrobes: Beyond the Portals, but there will be some things from Origins, second, the high krawl were given basic character outlines, so a lot of how they act is my personal interpretation. This is why Gelberus seems so short-tempered and Jado seems like a confused nerd with a short fuse. (Although not completely against the canon, Maja is a bitch to everyone, and a stuttering mess to Krux) Lastly, yes, there are OC's (Meridian, Inkold, and Levija)
.
.
.
Krawl. Beings made for one sole purpose; to destroy.
Spectrobes. Being made to fight, fueled by primal instinct. The krawls natural predator.
Spectrobes died out thousands of years ago, but the krawl remain, moving onwards, and destroying everything in their paths. Nothing survives. Moons, planets, entire star systems don't stand a chance against the krawl.
Although in the face of death there is always a ray of possible life.
Spectrobes masters.
Spectrobes masters are regular humans like you or I, but they have a small, unusual ability. With the right equipment they can harness the power of spectrobes. Feed them. Befriend them. Train them. Fight with them.
This is my story. My name is Meridian, member of the Nanario Planetary Patrol, and I am a spectrobes master.
-------------- 1st person, Meridian's POV-------
"Meridian, please report to Commander Grants office" one of the workers' voice rang from the city-wide PA system. Why did they install that? Because some workers didn't pay attention to the time. Much like me. Currently I was at the Kollin park, not where I was supposed to be, which was at headquarters for my next assignment.
I set off in a dead sprint towards NPP headquarters. I'd already been late, I didn't need to be any later that I already was.
I pushed the door open, going in through the ship docking port was the fastest way from where I was. I ran through the port and sprinted forwards, eventually turning right and moving into the elevator.
When the elevator stopped moving I was faced with 3 doors. On the far right was the tech room, where the motherboard that controlled the entire planets power was. On the far left was the lab away from lab, a miniature fossil lab run by Professor Wright himself. Directly in the middle was the door to Commander Grant's office, the big boss.
I opened the door and walked in, my armored boots hardly making a sound against the tiled floor. In the office was Grant himself, and 2 other members of the NPP, and rather well known members at that.
One of them looked to be rather young, around 17, with red-orange hair and pale skin. He was wearing the standard NPP armor suit.
The girl next to him looked to be about the same age with dyed pink hair. She was wearing a black headband and black shirt, paired with a silver skirt, overcoat, gloves, and shoes. No doubt a technician, at best. She definitely gave OF the air or one...
"Good to see you're finally here, Meridian. I trust you remember your assignment?" Commander Grant asked. Grant, unlike the other workers, was much older, with silvery-gray hair and a deep blue blazer with an NPP badge on the front.
"..." I didn't say anything, trying to remember the assignment. It was....
I would be traveling to the far planet Meidio with Rallen and Jeena to investigate the unusually high amount of krawl recently. Anyone with half of a brain knew the krawl were incredibly dangerous, and that they decided to nest in the shadow-engulfed planet of Meidio. Granted, there was other places they could be, but Meidio was the best bet.
I gave Grant a small nod so he knew I was aware of the mission.
"Very well, no point in wasting time." Grant said, making it obvious that the conversation was over, and that the three of us were to leave.

"What are we going to do?" Maja asked, rather agitated over the fact that they had been defeated.
Maja was a high krawl, and an incredibly bossy one at that. Her entire body and clothes were various shades of purple, save for the dark blue cloak she wore. She had long hair that formed hooks that she could manipulate and use as extra limbs if she wished to.
"I don't know! Ask someone who does," Gelberus said, patience running thin (As always).
"Oh calm down Gel, have some patience for once," Gronos said nonchalantly, he saw Gelberus' rage as a sick form of entertainment.
"You're one to talk "Mr. INeedToEatEveryFiveMinutes!" Gelberus shot back, raising a fiery orange fist. "And don't call me "Gel.""
"Would you three just shut up? You're always fighting like children," Jado said, finally fed up with the others' bickering.
"What're you going to do?" Gronos said in a taunting way, even going as far as to put his head in his hands on a smug way.
"He's not going to do anything, but I will" a deep voice called out, with no body in sight.
Then, he appeared.
Tall and intimidating, Krux made his presence known. He wore a dark blue cloak, similar to Maja's, with the hood up, and an orange and white mask obscuring his face.
Silence filled the room before Maja managed to stutter out "Krux, I-"
"Silence, Maja." Krux said, making his was to his chair.
Silence filled the room once again before Jado said, in a rather quiet voice, "so what are we going to do? There's.... two now. We can't..." Jado trailed off, worry evident in his voice.
No one said anything for a few more moments before Gronos broke the silence once again. "What are we going to do Krux? We've been defeated once, and I'm sure he'd be able to do it again." Gronos' usually loud and boisterous voice was uncharacteristically quiet.
"That's what I've brought you here for. I have a plan, and Maja, I have a job for you," Krux said.
"M-me?" Maja stuttered out, the sudden announcement taking her by surprise
"Yes, you. Although, I'm willing to bet they got lost among the portals...." Krux let out a sigh before continuing "I found 2 more High Krawl, Inkold and Levija, I told them to wait at the gate and someone would go and get them, Maja your job is to get them here and train Levija."
"Who's going to train Inkold?" Gronos asked, voice returning to its normal volume.
"You are," replied Krux, standing up as he did so. "I have places to be, good luck."
And with that, Krux left the 4 High Krawl in silence.
And the hall remained silent before chaos broke forth from the four.
"Me? Why me! He could have picked Jado or Gelberus, but no, no no no, he had to go and..." Maja groaned, putting her face in her hands "how does he expect me to do this?"
"Because you're good at things like this" Jado said. "You may not be the most... compassionate person but you know how to teach people and get the job done."
Maja sighed. "Let's go Gronos, we still have to find the two.... creatures."
----A/N----
Damn, Maja is salty here.
Don't mind her salt, but she will be borderlining Pearl levels of salt.
