"Niall! This is completely unfair! I know you're lying to me because I've seen you around town! You've ditched me all week, now what is going on?!" I shouted over the phone, my grey eyes brimmed with tears.

"Emi, calm down..." He cooed into the phone.

"No, Niall! I want answers and I want them now!" My voice shook, the anger rising.

"Okay Emilia, I was going to tell my crush how I felt about her... I didn't want you to get upset..." His accent spoke apologetically.

My heart dropped. Niall had lied to me all week over a girl? It had started Monday when he was supposed to come over Monday to watch movies when he cancelled. I had went to the record shop to find old records for my room as decoration when I saw him there, looking at old and romantic records and CDs. Tuesday I had seen him at the florist when I went to pick up groceries because he had ditched me for studying. Wednesday was by far the worst though when I had found him at the mall with a beautiful girl with cocoa brown hair and chocolate coloured eyes. She was skinny and resembled a model. I had spent all of Thursday crying and skipped school. Now it was Friday night and he was yet again choosing anything better than me, all for a girl and at that, probably the goddess he had been holding close at the mall. "Emilia, are you still there...?" He spoke quietly.

I nodded before remembering that he couldn't see me. "Uh huh..." I replied.

"I'm truly sorry, Emi... Why don't you meet me at the park?"

Something flew through me like a butterfly of hope. "Of course!" Eagerness flowing through my vocals.

He chuckled before hanging up. I tucked my iPhone into my pocket and slipped on my red and black Pretty Little Liars jacket. I tied my platinum blonde ringlets into a ponytail and ran out of my flat. I sat on the railing as I slid down the stair case and skipped out my front door. The chilly autumn air smacked my face like a brick wall. I made my way to the park, seating myself on the marble bench once arriving there. I beamed with excitement as I awaited Niall to meet me so I could enjoy time with my best friend.

I had never been so angry in my entire life. I had waited an hour in the blistering cold and Niall didn't show up. I wanted to sob but my tear ducts were frozen. I had never felt such a disappointment deep down. I trudged into the lobby and noticed a trail of blue rose petals, my favourite flower. I followed the rose petals curiously, picking up a note that laid in front of the lift.

Follow the petals Emilia

I picked up the notes and continued to follow the petals curiously. The petals trailed to my apartment. I creaked the door open and took in the spectacular sight. Sky blue and cotton candy pink roses entoured the apartment and candles lit the dimmed room. Love Story by Taylor Swift played quietly in the background and Niall stood across from me, beaming. I walked over and gazed up at him. "You did this all for me?" I was dumbfounded.

"Of course... I told you I wanted to tell the girl I liked how I felt." His smile grew. "So I wanted to know, will you be mine?"

"Of course I will you idiot." I pulled him close and kissed him.

Oh lovely lies.
