Hikaru continued to stare at Haruhi and Kuu with Kaoru standing next to him. They were silent after what Hikaru had said. What exactly are you supposed to say to that anyways? With Haruhi being the cousin of the last girl he ever rejected, it's inevitable that he's going to see her again. He knows that  she remembers him from this morning when she had ran out; at the time he just didn't know why. It all makes sense to Hikaru now.

He sighs as he watches Haruhi help Kuu to stand and they smile together, and Kuu says something to Haruhi to make her laugh a little. Maybe Kuu wasn't as boring as he wanted himself to believe when they were younger. Kaoru looked over at his brother, "Are you okay?" He asks, genuinely concerned.

Hikaru nods, "Fine," he answers. Kaoru grabs his brothers shoulder and slowly turns him around, "Don't worry about, Hikaru," he says, smiling a little. Hikaru looked at him and shrugs, and they begin to walk home.

Kuu and Haruhi begin to walk away as well but stop abruptly at the gate when they see Jugo standing there with the limousine. He smiles, "Hello ladies,"

"Ah, Jugo--!"

"Don't worry,  Kuu-san. It's just me, your father has no clue where you are." He says. Kuu sighs with relief and takes Haruhi over to the limousine, Jugo opens the door and they climb in and he shuts the door after them.

Kuu sits quietly but Haruhi looks curiously around the inside of the car, "I've never been in one of these before," she admits. Kuu looks over at her, "Really?"

"Yeah, I'm not a rich person," she answers, with a little laugh following.

"But you're a Fujioka.. so why not? Our other family members are."

"You know, I think it's because my dad just doesn't want to be spoiled; I'm not saying you are, though. It's just a personal preference," Haruhi answers and Kuu nods her head, though she doesn't really understand. Being rich is easier, so why go through the trouble?

"Speaking of money," Haruhi sighs, "I need to tell you about what happened today; Do you know about the host club?" She asked.

"Host club? No.. but I mean I know what they are, what about them?"

"See, there's one at our school with six members in it, except for today now they have seven..." Haruhi said with a slight grimace.

"Oh, really? Who? And where do they even have this host club meet?"

"Well you see there's this abandoned music room on the third floor, and the club president... well I guess he's the club president but he's kind of an idiot, only a little; Anyways he has the meetings there and almost every girl in the school there's there during lunch, at study hall, or after school until about four. So today I went there during study hall, I wasn't trying to go there, I wanted to find a place to study.. but I stumbled in and eventually I broke a vase and long story short; I have to work for them as a host and raise money to pay for the vase I broke,"

Kuu blinks as she remembers the room she was in, and the princely boy who had called himself Suoh Tamaki, who said he uses that room, "I see; Haruhi, what's the club presidents name?"

"Suoh Tamaki; why do you ask?"

"I knew it! Well you see after I ran out I also stumbled into that room, no one was there at first but then he came. We only talked for a second or two," Kuu explained.

"Ah," Haruhi breathed, and nods her head in understanding, "If you don't mind my asking, why did you run out?"

"Ah.." Kuu mimicked, but in a nervous tone. She looks to the side and out the window, as if to see if anyone was there. But that was silly, she was in a car. She turned back to Haruhi and sighed, "Well, I guess I have to tell you a story don't I?" She laughed with effort and her smile died.

"When I was younger, about thirteen. I did a brave thing," she starts, already feeling uneasy, "See I confessed to someone who I really thought I loved back then,"

"Love? You were thirteen," Haruhi interjects.

"It felt like love," Kuu said softly, not angry at all. Haruhi softens, and doesn't say anymore. Kuu looks down at her lap, "And so after my confession he rejected me; I don't know what I was thinking, I mean he had never returned feelings for any other girl so I don't know why I thought I would be different," she admits.

"But I was still hopeful," Kuu says, "And after he rejected me I cried. I cried for a long time outside in the snow and the cold and no one came to help me for an hour; but eventually a girl in my grade, Asuna, did. She's still my friend but she's not in our class."

"So who is in our class that made you run out?" Haruhi urged on.

Kuu bit her lip and looked over at Haruhi again, she lets go of her lip and pulls her feet onto the seat and turns completely to Haruhi, "You won't tell anyone, will you?"

"Of course not," Haruhi replies.

Kuu breathes in deeply, then exhales it all, "Hitachiin Hikaru," she mumbles, "That's who I confessed to."

Haruhi's eyes widened, "Seriously? Hikaru?"

Kuu glared slightly, "Don't make fun of me! I was thirteen and he was.. him."

Haruhi rolls her eyes, "So you confess to the unconfessable?"

"Is that even a word?" Kuu says, slightly annoyed.

"Sorry, sorry. It's just.. I mean that was kind of.." Haruhi looks down, "How do I put this?"

"It was stupid." Kuu says, "I know because he called me a stupid girl for it," Haruhi softens again and scoots closer to her. Kuu sits back correctly and looks out the window. Haruhi stared at her, worriedly, "I'm sorry."

Kuu looked at her for a moment, "It's okay. It's not your fault I did something stupid.."

"But you didn't do something stupid; You did something brave."

"Thank you, but your sympathy isn't needed. I realize what I did was stupid, and I just want to move on. I don't want to go back to class, and I don't want to see Hikaru again,"

"I see," Haruhi says, "What are you going to do?"

Kuu stared out of the window and thought for a while, she didn't reply to Haruhi for a few minutes. Haruhi was in no mood to rush her, so she leaned back onto the seat, but still gazed at her. Finally Kuu looks over at her, "I guess I'll just have to deal with it; I can't disappoint my dad.. you know?"

"I guess so," Haruhi says, as she looks out her window and Kuu looks out of her own. They watch as Jugo parks the car next to the sidewalk and Haruhi steps out. Kuu scoots over and steps out from Haruhi's side as well. Then they slowly walk inside.
