"Okay this is it," I said to the girl standing in the mirror "You are going to put on this dress and go enjoy yourself, no depression, no frustration, no powers." I was doing a terrible job of convincing myself to do this, but I really didn't have a choice. What kind of person would I be if I didn't show up to my own birthday party. "Knock Knock." said my Little sister entering myoom she ran to me threw her arms around me and yelled "Happy Birthday Celestial Dawn! I love you!" I laughed and pulled her off my legs and hugged her tightly and whispered "I love you more." she looked straight into my eyes and said "I love you most." My mother walked in with a fake scowl on her face "Teagen Paisley what do you think your doing?" she tried to be serious but ended up laughing instead. Teags jumped down and said "Nothing mommy." with the cutest little smile on her face. My family sounds awesome right... wrong this was all an act. I shouldn't say my family is fucked up, its only my parents. My mom may be the queen of hearts but she is in fact a heartless bitch. I love my sisters to death and it kills me to know that i can never tell them or anyone for that matter about my powers. My voice.
My mother grabbed Teags and spun her around the room. Teags giggling uncontrollably the whole time. My mother is working her magic, making Teagen paisley think that my mom loves her and that she will have a perfect life here. I hope that i will not be around for the day when she realizes who my mother really is. I would tell her but I don't want to ruin her innocence. It kills me to know that she will have to stay here with Belle, but tonight I will be gone.
"This party is so boring." I say looking at Belle with agony on my face. "I want to leave." I said. "No," she said "you promised me you would come and you aren't allowed to leave your own birthday party. now suck it up and stop acting like a little bitch." she said looking at me with a look in her eyes that said leave this party and i will kick your ass "Fine." I said I would stay but not for long. I walked around and danced with Teags, but then I decided it was time to go. I walked over towards my mother, "Mother," I said focusing my power on her "I am going to bed now. Don't go to check on me, I will be fine." she said nothing but stared blankly at me.
I reached under my mattress and retrieved the pack that I had kept there in case of emergencies. I grabbed my cloak off the wall and walked down the stairs and out the door. I shivered in the brisk November air and pulled my traveling cloak tightly around me. "Celestial Dawn." belle shouted behind me. Shit I thought I forgot to tell her that I am going to bed. "I am just going to bed." I said "Okay." she said all worry escaping her face as she turned around and walked calmly back inside, I vanished into the forest.
