There was a boy. Not just any boy, his name was Quinn. But it wasn't his name that made him peculiar. It was his story. And it starts, right now.

It was an average day. Quinn was sitting at his desk, doing his homework, role playing with friends over the phone, and trying to multitask as best he could. He was doing well in school, he rarely got anything but A's and B's, he was at, and taking high school courses, and he was called, as they say, a "teacher's pet."

He also had MPD. (Multiple Personality Disorder) It changed how he acted and behaved. It also changed his name. Because when he changes, he doesn't respond to the name "Quinn." It didn't happen often, but it, "mirrored" him. Made him act almost the exact opposite of who he was. Having it made him think, "Who really am I? Am I this? Or am I, him and I'm just the dominant persona?" He often asked that question, but he never knew how to answer it. He was getting to the point where he could control it and use it automatically when needed.

For example, one day he was heading home after school and he was tugged by the shirt behind the school. The next thing he saw was a group of thugs yelling for money that he brought for the field trip that had happened earlier in the day. He panicked. "What do I do?" he stammered. Suddenly, his face darkened and a grim smile slowly spread across his face. "But I do." He said in a dark, happy way. What came next was a blur of feet and hands. The next thing anyone saw was bloodied teens running away screaming for their mothers. And Quinn, he just stood there, confused to what had just happened.

Quinn, also had a, what you could say is an imaginary friend. His name was Bewilder, or BW for short. He gave Quinn advice that he already knew but couldn't remember. He may as well have been Quinn's subconscious, which Quinn was beginning to think that he was. But it didn't matter if he was or wasn't, as long as Quinn had BW, he was fine with nearly anything.

Enough background information. Let's get to his story. That's why you're here, isn't it?

Quinn was doing homework and whatnot when BW appeared. "I can see that you homework is really stressing you out." he said in his calm, gentle voice. "It is. I don't know how to solve it. We weren't even taught this. The teacher just gave it to us and said it was homework." Quinn responded. "You should take a walk in the woods near the mountains. That'll clear your head and help you think a bit." BW said intently. "That's a g-good idea." Quinn said hesitantly.

There had been a disappearing near the mountains a few months ago. Nobody ever saw the missing kid ever again. Quinn was interested into what had caused it, but he didn't want to become a victim himself. Finally, he got up, put on his favorite TMBG hoodie, grabbed his phone, got on his bike, and set off.
