NOTE: In the previous chapter, Viktor's jacket was described as pink and blue. This was a mistake. I have fixed it. It's supposed to be pink and magenta.

Phichit raced all the way to Yuuri and Viktor's apartment, throwing open the front door. Yuuri looked up from the book he read, surprised. He'd felt the door slamming against the wall.
'Yuuuuuuuri,' Phichit said.
'Yes?' Yuuri replied slowly. Phichit's eyes were gleaming with excitement.
'Get dressed. Actually, I will pick your clothes. To the closet!' Phichit signed quickly before grabbing Yuuri's hand and yanking him off the couch. He ran at mad speed into Viktor and Yuuri's room, throwing Yuuri onto the bed and slamming open the door of the closet. He scrummaged through everything, throwing random articles of clothing at Yuuri. He made a noise of victory-scratch that, of viktuuri- as he held up a shining jacket triumphantly.
The Thai man also picked up a pair of black jeans and a black undershirt, threw them at Yuuri, and told him to put them on. Yuuri did so slowly, shyly.
He was then roughly placed inside the jacket that Phichit had found. It was the sky and lapis blue one that Yuuri had bought to match Viktor's light pink and magenta one. It glittered and sparkled just as beautifully as Viktor's.
'Where are we going?' Yuuri asked when he was fully dressed and he and Phichit walked to the door.
'An important event. I will place your hands on something once we arrive. I will tap your hands to let you know to take the blindfold off,' Phichit replied.
'Blindfold?' Yuuri gasped, but Phichit ignored him He ordered Yuuri to put on shoes and as soon as he did, Phichit placed a blindfold (provided by Chris, that kinky little... you know..) on him. Soon, they were on their way to the ice rink, Yuuri quietly questioning his safety and Phichit's sanity.
At the rink, Viktor grew more and more anxious as time went on. He looked around the rink.
The lights were too bright, too close, too focused on that spot, too...too bright... too bright... too much...
Viktor skated off the ice, running into the bathroom. He looked at his face in the mirror, vision blurry and hands shaking. He was pale and sickly. He was panicking. No, he couldn't do this to Yuuri, not to his one true love, he couldn't do that to him, it would break his heart if he backed out now. Viktor splashed his face, which felt hot and sweaty, with cold water and took deep breaths. Chris burst through the door and tilted his head to the side, an understanding smile on his face. He pushed his glasses up and reached for Viktor's shoulder.
Viktor flinched at his touch, his whole body shuddering.
'Viktor,' Chris drawled out his name, 'calm down, honey. You'll be okay. He'll say yes. You know he will.'
Chris brought Viktor into his arms, rubbing circles on his back.
Chris could feel Viktor's accelerated heart beat against his chest and he let out a sigh, remembering when Viktor's heart would beat that way for him.
'Chris,' Viktor whispered, 'thank you.'
Chris rested his head on top of Viktor's. 'Anytime, darling.'
Gradually, Viktor's heart slowed down, he became less tense, more relaxed.
Chris's phone buzzed, and he pulled it out to see what it was.
