I can't see. My eyes won't open. I try to scream, but I can't. What's happening. Where am I? There are so many questions just waiting to answered. Why is there so much pressure on my chest. Am I dead? I can't be dead...
"Your alright, don't move"
I try to speak but my mouth is shut. My muscles can't move, what is happening? 'Ouch' as I felt the liquid climbing through my body, my body felt paralysed, I hope I'm just dreaming, this is just a dream.
I can hear people mumbling their words.
All the sounds around me start to fade away. I'm so tired, so sore. I don't even remember what happened. Why can't I remember anything..? My mind slowly goes to sleep.I wake up. I look around to see I'm in a dull room where the sunlight peeks through the curtains. I rise slowly and take a deep breath. I look around. The room is very small. It has one window and the bed it right under it. Across from the bed has a little desk with boxes and paper piles everywhere. It's very dusty, the door is right next to the small desk and a wardrobe that stands alone. The wooden floorboards creak with every step and a rug in the shape of a worn out oval. Everything stands still on complete silence.
I hear something, footsteps. I curl up in a corner on the bed, the door opens and a man stands there with a tray of warm food. He's face brightened up when he saw me. He's skin was olive, he's hair was a dirty blonde and he's eyes were a darkish brown. He was muscular and handsome, but I was still so confused.
"Hey, are you okay? You had quite a sleep."
He has a handsome Scottish accent. He walks towards me, I shuffle back more into my corner. He stops walking once he noticed i was frightened.
"W-where am I-I? Who a-are you? What h-happened?"
"We found you, on the side of the highway."He takes two steps towards me which was enough for him to put the tray of food on my lap. There was a small bowl of rice pudding on the top right corner of the tray. On the left hand corner of the tray was a small plastic cup of water. Then there was a plate in the middle covered in chips and hot gravy. L
"W-what?"
"We found you."
"Whose 'we'?"
"Let me show you!"
He holds a hand out to me.
"Do you trust me?"
I look up at him to see he's brown eyes and a trusty smile. I take he's hand.I wasn't steady on my feet, I was wobbling but he's hands steady me.
"That's alright. Take your time,"
There was an awkward silence for A moment. He looked at me and started taking little steps to get me comfortable with my legs again. It felt like I haven't walked in years.
"Thank you." I say, totally embarrassed.
He then hold my arm and I follow him. He opens the door. The light finds it way all around my room. We both step outside on the front porch.
"Welcome to the hollow."I look around to see alot of people working, making things I thought never existed, carrying stuff like bricks, sticks, straw, flowers in baskets, vines, stones, long branches, it's like a fairy village, it's magnificent.
We both go down the flight of steps which leads us to the rocky path.
"Over there, we have a bakery," he points out...
"And over there we have a butcher and decoration shops, and over there we have a clothes shop, and we have a Café, my favourite is the cold whipped cream coffee."
This place already gave me chills, it's incredible. We walked to the biggest, magnificent tree I've ever since."Hey, I umm, didn't catch your name?"
I hesitate to tell him my name.
"My name is Lucy,"
"That's a beautiful name."
I felt my cheeks going bright red.
"My name is Max,"
I kept repeating he's name in my head.
"That's a lovely name,"
We both give each other a smile. He's eyes pierced through mine. I look away.
"We should probably get you back to your room!"
"Yeah,"He holds my hand until we get back to my room. We approached the front porch and just stand there for a bit. He let's go of my hand, my hand drops by my side.
"Tomorrow, you and I will go to see the High King."
"High King?"
I suddenly panic.
"Yeah, he chooses if you get to stay or not, but don't worry I'll do the talking, but if asks you a question, you have to answer. Okay!"
"Yeah, it's just so much to take in."
My anxiety goes to another level. I'm so confused, scared. My breathing gets heavier.
"Hey, hey it's alright he's really nice once you know him."
He takes a step towards me and holds tightly to he's chest.
"Okay."
He gives a smile and turns away.I watch him leave and all I could feel is stress and love. 'Do I love him?' I can't love him. I turn away and open the wooden door. I close the door once I'm in and put my back to the door and took deep breaths to calm me. I walked across the wooden floor and laid on my bed. All I could think about was 'do I love Max? What will happen tomorrow? What do they want with me? Should I run away?' It's time to go to sleep. I can worry about these things when the time comes. I close my eyes and slowly drift off to sleep.
