The light streams into my bedroom window, something that surprises me with the amount of dirt and scum lining the...well, everything.
Our house-elf, Kreacher, was extremely old and very mean. Sometimes he finds it difficult to clean with his old bones creaking and such so number 12 Grimmauld place, is extremely shabby looking.
"Paige!" Oh what a lovely way to start my day, "come down here this instant! It will do you no good staying in bed past noon now get up!" my lovely grandmother yells up the stairs.
I guess she's right but is only 11:56 AM, that's hardly past noon.
I drag myself into my bathroom and do all necessities and trudge down stairs after putting on a rather uncomfortable dress...oh how I love being related to snobs. After I pass the many heads of our past house-elves I make a beeline straight for the kitchen and start throwing down some pancakes in a very unladylike manner.
That earns a very famous Black scowl, but when you can do exactly the same facial features it doesn't really have the same effect as it does to outsiders.
After I finish breakfast I finally notice three other people in the room with myself and grandmother...the Malfoys.
"Draco!" I almost scream, he was my cousin and only 2 years younger than me which is totally fair, I'd also be starting at Hogwarts with him this year, jumping straight into my fifth year. I used to go to Beauxbatons Academy of Magic for the first four years but apparently they don't like when someone puts dung bombs in all the toilets. Not my problem.
I was supposed to go to Hogwarts but my grandmother wanted me to be a 'proper lady' yeah, cause that's gonna happen.
My father, Regulas Arcturus Black, disappeared when I was just 1. I don't remember anything about him being such a young age but I've got a few pictures. I was sent to live with my grandparents but grandfather had died shortly after. Not the best childhood.
I did...still do really, have an uncle called Sirius but he's not really apart of our family anymore according to grandmother. Shame really, I think I look more like him than my own father but I'd get beaten if I even mentioned his name so that information stayed hidden.
"Paige," I jumped a bit at my uncles voice, I forgot they were here, "we've come to take you to Diagon Alley for your school supplies, grab your cloak."
Proper git.
I guess you could say my family was a bit, stuck up?
"Yes uncle Lucious," I say in the most polite voice I can muster.
After dragging my feet upstairs as slowly as possible just to annoy my family I jump down the stairs three at a time, eh what can I say? I love Diagon Alley.
I grab my aunts arm and am welcomed with the horrible, gut wrenching feeling of apparition.
I detached my self from her as soon as my feet were on the ground. Two more years and I'm out of here, I think to myself. Merlin I can't wait till I'm 17.
After I got fitted for new school robes and purchased all our new school books, I went to Gringotts and grabed a large pile of Galleons from my vault. 394, it may not be as far down as the rest of my families but I'm not particularly found of the cart rides, so the closer the better.
I managed to shake off my family and was deciding to stay at The Leaky Cauldren when I bumped in to someone.
"Oi!" I yelled at the unsuspecting person, "don't you have eyes?"
"Sorry" they muttered, it was a boy he looked to be about 13 with black hair that stuck up in all directions and a beautiful pair of green eyes that were hidden behind circular glasses.
