47 - Give Her A Chance

Katie P.O.V

"I can't believe we're going to be late on our first day" I said as we started running down the stairs of our apartment block.

"We won't be late, first class doesn't start for another hour and it only takes 15 minutes to walk there" Livi replied.

"Aren't you forgetting that we have different classes and my first one starts in 25 minutes!"

"Oh yeah, you better run then."

"Thanks for the advice."

"Anytime."

"Well I need to go, I'll see you at lunch I guess" I said as we approached Starbucks.

"Wait do you have any classes after lunch?"

"Umm no why?"

"Neither do I so why don't we just meet back at the apartment rather than stay at the academy for no reason."

"Good point, I'll see you at about 1 then and we can take Oscar for a walk or something" I said as I started to run along the pavement.

"Bye Katie" Livi shouted after me.

I ran the entire way there and made it just in time. My first class was a choreography class which I was quite glad about as it was my strong point. The 90 minutes class passed by pretty quickly and then afterwards I headed towards the small classroom in the main building for the second class of which I had with Livi.

"Did you make it on time?" Livi asked as I sat down beside her.

"Just about" I replied.

"So how was...." Livi started to say but was cut of by someone shouting her name from the other side of the room.

"Livi I haven't seen you in ages, how are you?" Amelia asked as she pulled Livi in for a hug and sat down on the other side of her.

"Umm good" Livi replied "how about you?"

"Okay I suppose."

"Hey Amelia" I said leaning across the desk so she could see me.

"Oh hi Katie" she bluntly replied before continuing her conversation with Livi. What have I done wrong now?

The second class seemed to drag by as the entire time Amelia and Livi seemed to pair up and always be talking and I couldn't help but feel like the third wheel in this situation. Don't get me wrong Amelia seems so nice but right now she is starting to piss me off.

When the bell finally rang signally the end of class I bent down the pick up my bag off the floor only to be shoved in the back by someone walking past. As I looked up I saw Amelia appear in front of me with Livi walking next to her.

"See you later then" I said.

"Oh yeah bye Katie" Livi replied and Amelia weakly smiled before they both walked out of the door.

I had one lesson left. Only one more hour and luckily it was not with Amelia but I wasn't with Livi either. It passed by pretty quickly and once it was finally over I headed out the main building and began the 15 minutes walk back home.

When I reached the apartment Livi still wasn't back so I sat down on the couch and was soon joined by Oscar who came and curled up on my lap and we stayed like this for the best part of an hour. After ringing Livi about 20 times and it just going straight to voicemail I gave up.

"Looks like its just you and me then Oscar" I said looking down at the small puppy.

"Do you want to go for a walk?" I asked and as soon as I mentioned it his tail began to wag back and forth and then he jumped off my lap and ran towards the door.
