I woke up not even realizing I was 30 minutes late for my internship meeting.
"Shit!" I yelled, quickly getting up. I looked in the mirror and examined myself. I looked decent, but decent wouldn't cut it for this meeting. I quickly brushed my teeth and fixed my hair. Luckily I had laid my clothes out the night before. A navy blue blouse, a nice cardigan, and black slacks. I went into my fairly tiny closet and pulled out my designer Christian Seriano high heels. They were the one and only expensive item I owned, and I won them in an auction. I took one last glance in my mirror before heading out the door.
~Time Skip~"Ms. Eun?" I heard a man call my name from his office.
"I'm right here, sir! I'm so sorry I'm late!" I said, with a look of apology.
"No, you're right on time!" He replied with a smile.
"I am?" I asked, confused.
"The clocks got set back an hour last night. I assume you forgot to change your time?"
I sighed, "Yes, I did. What a relief."
"Anyways, I have been looking through your internship application. Your grades are exemplary! You got a 4.0 in all of your classes including Bio-Chemistry, which is the hardest class to master."
"Thank you, sir."
"I believe you will be a great intern in my hospital."
"So does that mean?-"
He cut me off, "Yes, it means you are accepted to our internship program, Dr. Jae Eun!~" he practically sang the last part.
"Thank you, sir!"
"Please call me, Dr. Hyuk!" He replied.
I nodded, "I start tomorrow?"
"Yes, doctor."
~Time skip~Walking home, the wide grin on my face didn't even disappear for a minute. I was nearly skipping down the sidewalk, happily humming a tune. I was lost in a trance until I saw a man lying on the ground. I walked towards him.
"Hello? Can you hear me?" I asked.
He groaned. It was then I saw the blood all over his sheet white button-up shirt.
"Oh my god! I should call 911!" I whipped out my phone. The man grabbed my arm.
"No, you can't do that," he pleaded.
"But you're severely hurt! You're wounds could be fatal!"
"Please, don't call." His eyes begged me to out away my phone. I put my phone back in my pocket and helped him up. He was unconscious now, which made it extremely difficult to carry him back to my apartment. When I got in, I lied the man down on a mat.
I lightly tapped his face, "Hello? I'm not licensed to treat you I'm only an intern. I need your consent to proceed."
"Yes," he croaked, "Do it."
"Im going to look at your wound now," I said nervously.
I unbuttoned his shirt and got my first glance of his wound.
"Oh my god! You were stabbed!" I said, surprised.
I proceeded to clean his wound, examining it carefully. Fortunately, the wound wasn't deep.
"According to the law, I can't give you an anesthetic." I shoved a white cloth in his mouth. "This is going to hurt, so I'll try to do it as fast as I can."
I began to stitch up his wound. He silently groaned in pain, but didn't struggle. After I was done stitching, I put gause and medical tape over his wound. I sighed. He seemed unconscious now. I looked at his face. Of course I didn't have the time to notice before, but he was beautiful. If a man could be beautiful, he was. He looked quite familiar, but i couldn't quite recall why. I tried to slip away and let him sleep, but he grabbed my arm.
"Stay," he mumbled. His hand went down my forearm into my hand. He held my hand tightly, not letting go. I lied down next to him and slowly fell asleep.
Yoongi's POV
I woke up next to the girl who had save my life the night before. I had been still holding her hand tightly and let go.
I shook my head. How did this even happen? I was kidnapped by some stupid punks who wanted my money and got stabbed. Being famous and rich had its downside. I got up and looked at the work the woman had done. I saw a name written in cursive on her wall."Jae Eun," I whispered. Could that be her name? I couldn't stay here. I had to leave, but I couldn't just leave without paying her back for her act of kindness. I found a buisness card on her desk. I wrote my name and number on the card. "Min Yoongi, 282 457 3876." This way she can contact me and I can find a way to repay her. I quickly slipped out the door, making sure not to make a sound.
